![]() Igneous Magma Location: Iowa Posts: 571 | I rarely remember my dreams, and when I do, only in small bits and pieces. Based on these, I have been able to determine my sleeping self is living an emotionally-charged existence, which is quite contrary to the impassionate me that goes about his business in the waking world. The only expection to that would be falling asleep while a pasanger in a car. I start out the dream with a picture of the road I am actually on which I can make twist and turn by will at first, but then it begins to morph and move beyond any semblence of the original road, and as often as not, leads to cars flying over mountiansides and being out of my control on any level. An interesting sensation at first, but it almost always becomes scary. Any flight dreams work that way for me. I end up going too high or too fast or too far and begin to fear the situation. But I also tend to dream of bizzare things in mundane situations. Once, I dreamed I was in my bedroom taking a nap when I was awoken by several chimpanzees climbing over my bed and out my window so that they could eat bunches of grapes while sitting on the roof of my apartment. I also used to dream that werewolves were after me. Those dreams were cheesy when looking back on them, cause they were like 30's movies werewolves, not modern Rick Baker werewolves. But I could never go back to sleep for hours afterwards for fear I would start the dream over. | Redskins Rule Location: South-Western Virginia Posts: 2,296 | After posting in this thread, I went to a dream interpretation site. Apparently, I have low levels of confindence and serious fears of failure. Plus, monkeys seem to be symbols of personal deception, so it all makes sense to me in a weird sort of way. Not to take things too off track, but I used to have lots of dreams with Apes and Chimps and Baboons and such, but haven't had any for many years. It seems that once I "came out" as a lesbian, I stopped the self deception and the monkeys left my dreams. Not that I put much faith in that kind of stuff, but still...very interesting. Flying is generally considered a good thing. Some of my other dreams seem to indicate that I will be unlucky in love ![]() Place me like a seal over your heart, like a seal on your arm; for love is as strong as death, its jealousy unyielding as the grave. I've had a couple dreams that I have been able to control or get out of. I was in a dream and I remember my sister annoying me, and I tried walking over and intentionally I hit her lol That wouldn't have happened unless I tried to walk over and hit her in my dream....I was controlling it. I can kill myself quite easily in a dream...I just jump off the third story of my house...I wake up every time...right before I hit the ground. I had one of those 'two part' dreams. Part one: I was playing hockey (never played hockey in my life) and this one other kid really p$ssed me off for some reason. I was just about to punch him...then I woke up. Part two: two weeks later in my dreams I was in the same place playing hockey...and this time I was able to punch him lol

| Weirdo Location: Tacoma, WA USA Posts: 121 | I've had a number of dreams when I was a kid that happened to me way later in my life. Several instances I could remember exactly when I had the dream. Most of my dreams are so strange that there's really no way of explaining them without going into a novel just to explain the shifting reality, and by then, who cares about the happenings in that reality? One of the strangest reality shifts was a world that literally consisted of nothing but escalators. A giant fractal-like conglomeration of escalators, endless, and in the dream I could feel the infinite element of it, but it was a loop, so I could feel being on all of the escalators that made that reality all at the same time--the presence of being on them all at the same time as a thought process, as a different view of 3 dimensionality as being something that seems as superficial as 2 dimensionality. It's a feeling, somehow, or it's like a feeling. Since I had an out-of-body experience when I was 12 and saw infinity, that whole concept of viewing things beyond these dimensions is something that has made its way into many of my dreams. Then there are those hidden room dreams. A secret panel you didn't know about in your own house. Then there was a dream where I'm walking down the beach because I left the house through the basement (which has always been there) and when I see a bicycle go by it's on the sidewalk of a street that I am now on (and feel like it was always that way) with a lot of houses on it that are very familiar because I've been here before because in another dream (which I viewed as reality in this dream) I had explored the house in that neighborhood in the past that was exaggerated in height--all the stairs--each step was 2-3 times as tall as it should be--the roof was ridiculously steep and I had to exit using the roof and a parachute. Anyway, as soon as I see my friend on the sidewalk, I'm actually in his house (and have been for a long time) having a conversation in him about really deep subjects, but I have to be careful when I leave because the forest (which I had to have gone through previously) on the other side after I go out the one-way door (which has been there as long as I have) because for some reason the store I'm in only allows people to walk in one direction, and the forest/jungle/problem-I'm-trying-to-solve-on-the-computer can be treacherous unless I turn off the running process causing the problem. And at that point, I achieved what I wanted and now the colored rain that usually occurs on Duskday and Milfday (the 8th and 9th day of the week) can continue the way it did previously which was something that was never established and then I wake up because I saw a mirror and gave that look in it that makes me wake up, but then I soon fall back asleep to continue thinking about the unfortunate treacherous heights of auto-elevation that occurs in so many people and the bullying mindset from the reasoning behind....and now that I'm REALLY asleep, it's morphed into a dream about the surface of wrinkles in kleenex when it is used as the pad for a cassette (audio cassette) because the original one had fallen off, and you have to take the tape apart to get the metal part out so you can replace the whole thing with the kleenex, all because the tape had been eaten by a grue and you will have to start over in the game, but first, an announcement from your local and federal and global legally bound to religious icon, Bowzc (with an emphasis on the "wwwzzz") and his dog spot. "If you want a car or truck, pussycow. If you want to save a buck, pussycow." and so on, "pussycow pussycow pussycow" (cheering sounds), and the fight continues, with mario in the lead, and mario gets pushed into a room which I'm now in. It's a locker room. There's nobody here, but I hear distant voices. I look outside (and when I look outside, it's the outside-the-rooms perspective of an old arcade game "Venture" by Exidy) and say to myself, I'm at a gym, I might as well take advantage of it since this towel is in my hand and I already know my combination. I need to do my business for a moment, so I go to the next set of rooms via the other entrance which I already knew for some reason was the bathrooms, and once I'm there I hear the voices just a little bit louder, but there's still nobody in the room. I try to see if I can walk down this endless loop hall of urinals on one side and sit-down-toilets with stalls on the other side. These urinals look really strange--the entire place is made of marble and granite, including the stalls. The hinges on the stall doors look like they're made of marble as well. The floor is ice cold. I keep smelling something that smells like a strongly-chlorinated swimming pool. I hear laughter again for a moment. I know that eventually I'll loop around if I walk too far and the exit will always be right behind me, no matter what. When I start examining the urinals, I notice that it seems like the bottom of it has some sort of light in it on each one of them. I duck down to realize that the space at the bottom is easily large enough that I could crawl through it, and the ones that have been recently cleaned look clean enough to crawl through, so I do, and on the other side is another set of urinals, but instead of being just another bathroom, there's a huge hottub that I'm at one edge of, but it seems to go forever in the other direction, completely filled with a whole bunch of people, mainly guys but not all guys, cheering when I get out, and then we all suddenly sing something silly that all I can remember of it was "Read (reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed the book, it's in the book) the book cause that's where it's to it!" and then everyone laughs and I wake up from the alarm going off. Oh yes, very strange dreams indeed. |

I wish, I could get more detail of your out of body experience. I have also out of body experience two times but within finite limits: 1. I saw my body lieing on the ground while I was watching it few feet away as if I was watching from space. 2. I was flying like a bird in space towards my home in another dream. When I reached the main gate of the house, I found it locked from inside. I went up to the second floor and entered into house through a open window. Then I came down to first floor, went into the room in which I was sleeping that night. Finally, entered into quilt or, may be into my body. Because, at that very moment I broke my peculiar dream and opened my eyes. Possible I might dead during the period of my dream, who knows ??? ![]() That is to say that on my remaining out of body, I did not feel sense of infinity as in case of Kizzume. ![]()

![]() Holy Zarquon! Location: Australia, Nsw Posts: 20 | this has happened to me where iv been woken by something outside of the dream like a dog barking or a train etc, the way i get back to that dream is to stay in the position i was in when i woke up, and try my hardest to remember what was happening in the dream but i try to not think of what could happen next or else it screws it up and i either cant get back to the dream, or i just cant get back to sleep for ages.... of course im sure different people would have to try different methods. |
