You just can't make this stuff up

This thread is for bizzare and or shocking news stories.

I came across this one. This is sad and sick.

73 year old Priest says "But she seduced me". (of a 4 year old girl)

link

Quote:
A retired pastor from Canada was sentenced to three years in prison today after telling a McHenry County judge he was sexually harassed by the 4-year-old Lake in the Hills girl he pleaded guilty to molesting.

Kenneth R. Cooke, 73, appeared to have reasonable chance at a probation sentence given his age, health problems and lack of criminal history heading into his sentencing hearing this afternoon.

But the Calgary man who once headed his own ministry likely blew his chance of avoiding prison when he took the witness stand and painted his pre-school age victim as a sexual aggressor.

"On a couple of occasions I felt I was sexually harassed," Cooke said. "I think there is psychological evidence that children even in their younger years can become interested in sex."

After reading various statements in the pedophile thread (adult section) it seems that's a popular opinion among pedophiles. Here's just one example.

Yeah, well. If you're f*cked up in the head, then you might see the affection of a 4 yr old as seduction.

It ain't the 4 yr old that is at fault. How stupid.

He should have stuck to the "god told me to do it" defense. That seems to absolve everything.

(laughs) May I point out that this is Alberta -- Canada's Alabama.

Ouch. I am from Alberta... and I would just like to say this really isn't our Alabama. I did cringe when I read he is from Calgary... but everyone is mature enough to know this guy doesn't represent everyone living in Alberta, right?

Besides the point, does this guy even have a brain? Or is his head just filled with biblical passages? He reeeaaallly crossed the line when he molested that 4-year old, but then to come up with "She seduced me." is really.. utterly... unimaginably... disgusting.

Oh and Nono, if anyone from Alabama moved to Alberta, I am sure they wouldn't last 10 seconds. Just because the two words look similar, doesn't make the locations similar, got it?

Uh, yeah, triad.
It's just that when I think of all the redneck yahoo/luminaries out of Alberta (Ernest Manning, Preston Manning LOL, Ralph Klein, Stephen Harper, etc. etc.) I can't help but reaffirm my statement.

Which isn't to say that all Albertans are rednecks, just as not all Alabamans are.

Oh and triad, "Let the Eastern bastards freeze in the dark!"

Got it, little buddy?

Your attempt at patronizing me to prove your point further degraded your logic.

If you want to judge the culture of a community based on it's leaders (past and present) then why don't you make a few jabs at: USA, Germany, every place in existence.

Grow up, little buddy.

triad - possibly because he's Canadian too? Lighten up.

I spent a lot of money on booze, birds and fast cars. The rest I just squandered.

No, triad, but you ought to be able to see someone opine that Alberta is Canada's Alabama (and it does look that way to a lot of Canadians) without throwing a fit, attributing the view to the initial letter "A", and ending your post with "Got it?"

Got it?

Funny thing - just watched just for laughs and a well known comedian did a joke about Alabama and then ended it with, "You know, like alberta"... quite the coincidence.

I guess its the fact that you had to say it on a thread about a 4 year old girl getting molested that pulled my chains a little... but I take back any temper-tantrum/cry baby posts. It was just bad timing I guess... hell I make fun of Alberta all the time. Just don't reference it to child molesting and I should be okay... okay?

Got er'?

I actually feel bad for those two.

Everyone I work with heard about it and said, "Ewww," and all the other expected stuff, and I said that I felt sorry for them.

Someone asked me if I was okay with incest, and I wanted to slap them.

I said that I felt bad that these are two people who felt a real connection and fell in love and wanted to spend the rest of their lives together. Now they find out they are Luke and Leia Skywalker and they are suddenly in this unholy, disgusting relationship.

They basically have to face losing the love of their life, as well as face the social stigma, both internally and externally, of the things they did with each other.

I truly feel bad for them and hope they can find their way through it.

What I find interesting is how in this vast world, those two were drawn together. I'm going to ignore all the ridiculous "eww incest" stuff. It's obvious two twins have an incredible bond that can almost be equated with telepathy but is probably better defined by the words intuition and feeling. I think some people might have made the case that twins are only so connected because they share almost the exact same experiences in life. However, these two had completely alternate realities and yet something intangible drew them together. I find this extremely interesting. What is it that draws this two people together? A compelling argument for some form of telepathic communication between people.
