| Libertarian Location: Colorado Springs, CO Posts: 1,609 | Saturday night OK. So, am I the only real loser around here? I get bored on a Friday or Saturday night I feel like debating and harassing people on this discussion forum, and it seems like I'm the only one debating. Do the rest of you have such a great life that you're doing other things on the weekends while I'm sitting at home? Keith (Ok. In the summer I'm on my boat almost every weekend. Maybe that's it, The rest of you are debating while I'm hanging out at the lake and, when it gets cooler, that's when you all have things to do.) The great thread killer. |

In between burns, I check in here and my email. Oh, and the coffee is almost ready. What are we debating? ![]() The Forum Rules Radical Atheist Heathen Queer Let's agree to respect each others views, no matter how wrong yours may be. (Ashleigh Brilliant) |

![]() Amused Location: Mid Atlantic Posts: 1,199 | My youngest and I went Xmas shopping for a couple hours this evening. We stopped in Applebees for dinner & to see if my two other sons were working. The place was packed. By the time our table was ready, my oldest had been pulled off waiting tables. They sent him back to the kitchen to help his brother expedite. Their roommate waited on us instead. I had a killer margarita with dinner and a cup of coffee for the road. I was going to go next door to see what my neighbor was up to, but after walking the dog for a half hour in the cold, I decided to stay home and wrap presents instead. Now I don't feel like wrapping. I just noticed it's sleeting out....odd ...the sky was clear a few minutes ago...That you may retain your self-respect, it is better to displease the people by doing what you know is right, than to temporarily please them by doing what you know is wrong. I just thought it might get your mind off the fact you don't have a life to know that you're not alone hanging out here. ![]() The Forum Rules Radical Atheist Heathen Queer Let's agree to respect each others views, no matter how wrong yours may be. | Retired Posts: 7,312 | If my Friday night 'date' lasted until 5:AM Saturday morning, am I still a loser to be here on a Saturday night? Cooking dinner, watching Blood Diamond again, and planning a Walgreens siege (the right coupons + sale prices = free or almost free goodies). Oh my, I answered my own question. Yes I am a loser too. No Charlie Brown, I was home too, just not at the machine. ![]() Saturday night I usually spend on video games, programs I taped and haven't watched yet, or catching up on home projects. Sundays I get up and watch a variety of news programs between PBS, CNN until the "Power Block" comes on SPIKE TV (I am a car show nut), and then after that is the "This Old House Hour" on PBS. The rest of my Sunday I usually try to do something relaxing and or creative. I try to save my debating headaches for weekdays usually. Weekend are my sanctuary from society time.I plan on building my coffin, in the shape of a log cabin, in montana or new hampshire, and spending the rest of my days in and around it. (what a nightmare that was - kid refuses to take a bottle.) spent the night, and the greater portion of today playing mass effect for the 360. |

| Retired Posts: 7,312 | I didn't say I got lucky. I think my regular date is holding out for a commitment from me not to ask for a commitment, lol! Keith, that was more along the lines of what I meant. If my plans kept going way into Saturday, does that count for Saturday night? "...with like-minded people one cannot discuss. ![]() As for the date, the person I would have spent the time with, had I gone out was with me for the entire past 48+ hours. But, then again, she's been with me for the past 25 years except for a few hours at a time when we're doing our own thing, work and the very rare work trip. (Even then, we sometimes go on work trips together, one of us working and the other goofing off.) Actually, my wife has done a few trips with friends for a weekend. And, a couple of times I took my son away for a weekend. But, the seperations have been few and far between. Keith The great thread killer. | |

| Libertarian Location: Colorado Springs, CO Posts: 1,609 | Hey, check out the recipes thread. I've already had four of the Pina Colada martinis I started the thread with. Perhaps I'm at the postiion that Matt describes as "shattered". Having my son and his wife and the grandchildren around all afternoon, perhaps I do actually have a life. Quite different from partying every Saturday night, but a life nonetheless. Keith The great thread killer. |

![]() However, I have slept with many great and fascinating men, Socrates, Genhis Khan, and authors of many books.
