How to change the world - by Bill Clinton.

Bill Clinton is going to tell us how to change the world. This will be done on the Larry King show tomorrow ( September 5, 07).

This comes in the aftermath of voters seeking a change during the last election where Democrats gained control of Congress.

I am posting this today in case anyone wants to check out the King program and make comments about it.

Hell, if all you want is change, stop paying your electric bill.

That's change.

Huh, why, is this going to be "non-statists" in nature?

Truthfully, I'll watch, I always like to know what the enemy is up too.

He might be promoting an idea to get people interested enough to attend his speaking engagements as he goes fund raising for Hillary? But it comes on in a few hours, later today, and may or may not make for an interesting debate?

Meanwhile the other "x" man Al Gore said he has not announced who he favors on the democratic ticket and that it might not be the fomer first lady. hmm?

Some people do not know when to retire from politics.

That's because Al Gore's primary interest is, in a sense, environmentalism. He's been in politics for the past 30 years to try to get things changed.

But after 30 years of trying so hard, he's become what he once sought to utilize.

IT'S A BOY!!

Just watched the Larry King interview.

He is promoting a new book he wrote called 'Giving' with a subtitle 'how to change the world'.

In the book he shows how and why charity can change the world so that certain problems are overcome. It made sense.

Larry King also asked him a number of other questions which he answered in a knowageable and well thought out manner.

In fact he demonstrated a great deal of wisdom with his remarks and in his answers which was refreshing.

Review: Bill Clinton's inspiring book on 'Giving' -- Newsday.com

The book seemed to have no poltical overtones. He also appeared on Oprah show to talk about his private mission world wide to advocate charity.

I have to give the man credit.

I didn't fully appreciate him when he was in office, and my suspicion is, neither did the majority of the country. I'm wondering now what they think about the Lewinski affair considering our current empero--err, president?

As I recall most Americans were not all that upset about the lewinski affair and I think the Republicans were disliked for trying to use it for political purposes. That was my take on it, of course it was popular with the late night comics. But hey, Lewinski walks up and flashes her bear naked titties in his face and he took the bate, most older men who have had one wife for a long time understood that weakness which is a common one in society, even with the religious who objected. We even have songs about that "If you flag my train I will sure let you ride". Basic temptation being played out and in that respect he acted foolish, concidering his position. However in the past the news media repected the private lives of our leaders and did not report such gossip mateiral.
Our modern news media loves a trashy story. He never went to bed with her but was a fun loving guy who was amused by her fun-loving ways.

Sometimes 'giving' can get you into deep water. So, be careful how you spread the love.

That was just a side show. As far as how he handled his job he did okay and no one had to clean up any messes that he caused after he left office. He remianed a popular President with everyone except for right wingers.

The irony of all this is that conservatives give significantly more to charity than liberals.

I have still not forgiven Slick Willie for when he came to Buffalo in the mid 1990s and he had the nerve to say that he doesn't want to give us a tax cut because we might not spend the money on the right things.

He was committing lewd acts with a woman young enough to be his daughter and that's just plain sick! But the worst part about it was that he was doing it in the workplace with one of his subordinates. Liberals whine and complain about sexual harassment and demand the heads of those who engage (like they did when Clarence Thomas was accused of it) in it but when Slick Willie did it the liberals essentially said it's irrelevant.

I will give Bill credit for appealing to the individual, and not the socialist vote.

This was not the message I was expecting to hear.

I agree that most of what he said was right on target, but only if these things are left to the individual, and not taken on by government.

set a spectacular precedent for lying to the american public so warmongering neo-cons can lie our country into a war without consequence.

The government of Denmark does excellent charity, for foreigners and its own people.

Got any links to confirm those claims?

So, it is the Republicans and their rightwing religions that object. The girl was of age and she is the one who began the affiar by flashing him with your naked brests. She was not the victim of sexual harassment because she made the first advances, and got what she asked for. And to say that hanky panky between two consenting adults is lewd is really being a prude. He did not pay for sex with a positute (unlawfull) or anything like that. He simply reacted to her advances the same as most normal men would have done.

No, it has nothing to do with the Republicans. The girl was young enough to be Slick Willie's daughter and, yes, that is sick! It doesn't matter that she was just as perverted as Slick (by making the first advances - though whether that actually occurred, I don't know). Somehow I get the impression that you're not a father; as a father, I know how I would feel if some guy Slick's age was trying to have sex with my kid. Again, the worst part about it was that he was doing it in the workplace with one of his subordinates. That kind of behavior doesn't belong in the workplace - especially when the workplace is the Oval Office!

As for my statement, "Liberals whine and complain about sexual harassment and demand the heads of those who engage (like they did when Clarence Thomas was accused of it) in it but when Slick Willie did it the liberals essentially said it's irrelevant," the point you so obviously missed was the liberal hypocrisy.
