| Volcanic Erupter Posts: 8,936 | How to change the world - by Bill Clinton. Bill Clinton is going to tell us how to change the world. This will be done on the Larry King show tomorrow ( September 5, 07). This comes in the aftermath of voters seeking a change during the last election where Democrats gained control of Congress. I am posting this today in case anyone wants to check out the King program and make comments about it. |

Huh, why, is this going to be "non-statists" in nature? Truthfully, I'll watch, I always like to know what the enemy is up too.

| Volcanic Erupter Posts: 8,936 | He might be promoting an idea to get people interested enough to attend his speaking engagements as he goes fund raising for Hillary? But it comes on in a few hours, later today, and may or may not make for an interesting debate? Meanwhile the other "x" man Al Gore said he has not announced who he favors on the democratic ticket and that it might not be the fomer first lady. hmm? Some people do not know when to retire from politics. |

| Volcanic Erupter Posts: 8,936 | Just watched the Larry King interview. He is promoting a new book he wrote called 'Giving' with a subtitle 'how to change the world'. In the book he shows how and why charity can change the world so that certain problems are overcome. It made sense. Larry King also asked him a number of other questions which he answered in a knowageable and well thought out manner. In fact he demonstrated a great deal of wisdom with his remarks and in his answers which was refreshing. Review: Bill Clinton's inspiring book on 'Giving' -- Newsday.com The book seemed to have no poltical overtones. He also appeared on Oprah show to talk about his private mission world wide to advocate charity. |

Our modern news media loves a trashy story. He never went to bed with her but was a fun loving guy who was amused by her fun-loving ways. Sometimes 'giving' can get you into deep water. So, be careful how you spread the love. That was just a side show. As far as how he handled his job he did okay and no one had to clean up any messes that he caused after he left office. He remianed a popular President with everyone except for right wingers.

I have still not forgiven Slick Willie for when he came to Buffalo in the mid 1990s and he had the nerve to say that he doesn't want to give us a tax cut because we might not spend the money on the right things. But the worst part about it was that he was doing it in the workplace with one of his subordinates. Liberals whine and complain about sexual harassment and demand the heads of those who engage (like they did when Clarence Thomas was accused of it) in it but when Slick Willie did it the liberals essentially said it's irrelevant. This was not the message I was expecting to hear. I agree that most of what he said was right on target, but only if these things are left to the individual, and not taken on by government. |

As for my statement, "Liberals whine and complain about sexual harassment and demand the heads of those who engage (like they did when Clarence Thomas was accused of it) in it but when Slick Willie did it the liberals essentially said it's irrelevant," the point you so obviously missed was the liberal hypocrisy.
