| Sedimentary Rock Posts: 22 | Just this week, John Kerry commenced his "Days of Malaise Tour," trying to convince voters they are again living through the Great Depression--despite the reality that our economy is experiencing some of its strongest growth in decades, homeownership is at a record high and manufacturing employment is at a 30-year high. And President Bush’s approval rating on the economy has increased a net 9 points over the last month to the same place President Clinton was in 1996. John Kerry’s pessimistic strategy is depressing his own party. Since he secured the nomination, 23 Democrats have switched parties and prominent Democrats in Florida, Georgia, Utah, Kansas and Louisiana have refused to endorse him. In South Dakota, House candidate Stephanie Herseth laughed when asked if Senator Kerry would campaign for her. It is a sharp contrast to the optimism we hear from President Bush. I was in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for a Victory 2004 meeting this week and it's not just the President who is optimistic. We discussed our Party's 4W Test Drive: an 11-day nationwide effort to identify and mobilize key activists like you in election-like conditions. We kicked the tires on our voter registration drives, checked the oil at our phone banks and revved the engine of our national get-out-the-vote program. We are constantly testing and improving our methods for achieving victory, and I'm excited to tell you that today's Republican Party is bigger, stronger and more effective than ever. We will win in November because we have better ideas and policies that show our confidence in the American people. We will win in November because of the work people like you are doing now laying the groundwork for success. |

| Volcanic Erupter Posts: 3,154 | You didn't write this. This is a form letter to GOP members from Ed Gillespie. You simply cut and pasted it without citing it or even including all of the text. It's also you're first post. YOU SHOULD BE BANNED FOR THIS. This is PLAGIARISM. |

As long as you are not a party stooge "spreading the good word", welcome. Since you have started 4 threads today (including 2 polls) in about a half hour, you are certainly prolific. However I see you have done this cut and paste on the Brady thread also. You are obviously new here either way, so I might as well tell you that what you have posted will influence nobody here. To do that you should be a damn good debater, and still be prepared to win few converts. It's not what thread you start, but more in the follow through. Just a heads up. (edit for update) Not a day goes by that I don't see something that reinforces my belief that people are idiots. | |

I think I made it pretty clear that you have to read them before posting (it's everywhere). This isn't hard. They won't pounce all over you if you provide sources, and do what we all do to make the conversation better. Try again. So it goes |
