| Principled Observer Location: Toledo, Ohio Posts: 13,873 | As soon as Bush is PROVEN of treason, he should be shot. The allegations are all over the net, and the news. The proof is as well. He just needs to be brought before a jury of his "peers" which is where the problem comes in, as he thinks he has no peers. Even more, I think his trial of treason should be televised nationally, and his pending execution, also. This would say more about our system of accountability than anything, but since we currently have none, I doubt we will see this, or anything of substance as a result of his treason. All my 2 cents. There is already a well established punishment for treason, and that is death. Perhaps they can appeal to the Governor of D.C. for a reduced sentence. Though I would not be happy to hear that either. |

| Igneous Magma Posts: 299 | What I don't understand is what treasonous acts Bush has committed. It's generally considered "providing aid and comfort to the enemy in a time of war," which he hasn't done. He's provided destruction and harassment to the enemy, which is what leaders are supposed to do in a time of war. Lying to the public, which I'm assuming you're talking about (if not, make your point clear, because you haven't), isn't treason. |

He swore to uphold, and defend the the constitution from all enemies, foreign, and domestic, then he created the Dept. of Homeland Security, and voided the constitution. He IS the enemy of the constitution. |
