irrational behavior

Someone noticed there are no 3 strikes against me, and asked if the infracion had expired because of time or because of reason. Now I have an overwhelming urge to say something that will earn me a few more infraction points. I think I have gained some insite into why some children act out, knowing full well they will be punished. It is part of our human nature to rebell against injustice. Something inside us that will defy authority when feel that authority is unjust. No matter how many times we are knocked down, we will stand up.

I was given infraction points for complaining about volconvo in forum other than the site operations forum. I think that was an unjustice, and my efforts to get justice were never satisfied. So now I am very deliberately complaining about volconvo in a forum other than the site operations forum. How many points to get this time?

Yes, the moment I saw 3 infraction points against your name, I had bad feeling. I was not sure about the reason but when I saw them removed I was relieved tha tyou have been pardoned. I am also sure whether it was timed bound or you have changed you nature of arguing. This thread itself shows YOU HAVE NOT CHANGED YOUR NATURE, WHICH I THINK NOBODY CAN DO IT SO EASILY!!! So it might have been time bound only, Moderator can tell it better!! However, on some thread I hinted that democracy without descipline is dangerous. This, I am repeating here as a reminder for you!!

Coming to rational and irrational behavior, no demarcational line can be drawn to ditinguish. However to run any system; social, political business ... and the like, rules of the system are set using initial, modified and final draft writings. Once, finalised rules are followed to run the system, all should follow them as ratinality demands. Provision is also set to modify the rules if need be!!!

Source of irrationality develops with the breaking of such rules, either by subjects or by even rule mangers. Similar thing happens when parents ask their children not do a particular thing but themselves do the same thing. It is but natural for the child to revolt.

So, to my mind unless rule mangers are not maintaining the rules themselves irrationality can not be erased!!!!

Here's the way I see it Athena. This thread is run by Jason, as such, Jason makes the rules. If I, you, or anyone else doesn't like them or feel that they are unreasonable, we don't have to continue to patronize the site. There are many other forums out there who are much more lenient with the types of behaviors that they feel are acceptable conduct.

Personally, I enjoy Volconvo and the environment that Jason and the other MOD's strive to provide for us and is a large part of why I joined and stay here. By staying here and contributing, I am committing myself to the community standards of this site, and if I do not uphold the expectations of conduct, I suffer the consequences willing because I do not have to be here, I choose to.

I'm gonna have to agree with Kuldeep.

You were pardoned once but now you're provoking infraction.

You just posted the rational for your actions, so how can you classify them as irrational?

If this thread really were about site ops, I'd just move it there. Since it's not, there's not much for us to do.
