Wow, the word "Sex" sure is mentioned a lot here on this forum. Or is it just me? :)

Hehehe...

Well, not only is it a taboo subject, but you bring it up in your post, didn't you?

You've shown interest in chocolate cake, therefor you're obsessed with it / ONLY interested in it.

Hahaha - well the difference between a great friend and a girlfriend is just what do with them :)

well, some people do things with their friends too, but I'm not talking about those people.

Zhavric,

I really dug your chocolate cake analogy--so true. (And I agree, Maddie's posts don't confirm that she fully comprehended the analogy.)

A woman shouldn't just get offended as a gut response when a man wants to sleep with her. In fact, I should think she'd rather get offended if he DIDN'T want to sleep with her. The point is that he might want to have the cake and eat it too.

That's what Maddie wants--a guy who orders coffee after dessert. And my advice stands--you have to MAKE him value you. If you want to make sure your customers value your restaurant even after they've had their cake, (A) don't just let anyone into your restaurant--enact a dress code and jack up the prices so only the quality customers get to dine, (B) make sure they have to reserve / wait for a table, and (C) don't bring out the cake right away--let them build up an appetite first.

Here I am one, it is up to you to take a risk! You are daughter of God. I feel I am God. That way you are my daughter! Would that relationship do??

I am well past the bed hopping person I used to be when I was younger. I have been married for almost 29 years but before I married when I was 28, I lost count of all the "relationships". Coming of age in the late 60's and all through the 70's, "free love" reigned supreme, and everyone usually got what they wanted from each other. I was fast and loose so I can identify with the guys you have been with recently. I really did try but wasn't really serious about a relationship until I ran my course. Times have changed.

Today's deadly diseases makes the "game" so different. That said, it is important to deal with mature people, and I think you see this because you are weary of guys who merely want sexual intercourse. The only thing I could advise, would be to make it crystal clear to anyone you date, that intercourse will not be forthcoming until feelings are set between you both. This will eliminate false expectations and also winnow out the shallow types who merely want a body to masterbate into sometimes. Best of luck.

Yeah, brien. Scribbler1 is the same kind of faithful husband, with time served.

Marriage isn't always easy, but it is a comfort to have a wife to grow old with.

Do my eyes still wander? Well, yes. But would I do anything to endanger a marriage of so many years? You bet your ass I wouldn't...

I find relationships very hard. I like my own freetime and my various vices too much to give them up. I don't necessarily mind the physical aspects of relationships, but they really aren't that important and nothing you cant get from a "meaningful over night relationship" - but they are more hassle than they are worth.

I guess I just don't have the patience or motivation to make relationships last. But at 21, I imagine I have time to change or to meet the right girl, etc.

Society may be formed so as to exist without crime, without poverty, […] no obstacle whatsoever intervenes at this moment except ignorance to prevent such a state of society.

I have had less than 4 "meaningful" relationships, but many more relationships than 4 that involved sex.

Because I am on a diet, doesn't mean I can't look at the menu. It is nice to have someone close to grow old with; someone who can finish my sentence, someone who can read my mind . Couples like us are becomming more rare as our parents' generation passes on. Kudos to Scrib as well.

How many relationships have you had so far? I had 4 boyfriends in the past, but didn't quite work out because they were only after sex. I was looking for someone who is more interested in a persons heart rather than their appearance. I'm totally worn out by guys who ask me out just to get me in bed, and it's sooo hard to find godly men out there. What about some of you? What sort of relationships have you had in the past, and how many?

Love,
Madeline
Madeline, ignoring my previous post.

I had for fun and loving relationships before finding my wife. despite one very stupid mistake by me, we have been together 28 years. My love for her grows daily.

As for another relationship, never.

Not even if I outlive my beloved wife.

I have had one girlfriend and it was only for a month.
Being so young, I just wanted to make her life as enjoyable and easy as possible and I wanted to make her feel as amazing as she possibly could. Nothing sexual.
But I got her two CD's in one week and she thought I was trying to "buy her out".
... oh well.

I've had 4 serious relationships (basically more than 2 months). Now, if you were to ask me how many people I've been with (dating or not dating), then I've lost track.

Tiny, you prude.

I've had a handful of relationships involving chocolate cake starting when I was almost 14. That one lasted on and off, mostly on, until I was 18. Since, there's been 3 lasting only months and one (my wife) lasting 4 years. I've had unemotional sex with another handful minus a thumb. I remember them all.

 I can only describe what I like in men, but I'm not the desparate type and I really don't need to be in a relationship right now.

Me and God, we'd be mates ;-)
