No. It's a playground for thought. Sex does not equal dirty. It may be so for you, which is fine, however, "we" don't need to all follow this line of thinking, as you have yet to provide reasonable argument as to why it's so "dirty". Sex, and sharing ones sexual desires with their partner can most certainly be positive. Sex and sexual fantasy is true, honest, just, pure, lovely and of good report when shared with the one you love. Masturbation can help one learn about themselves, their desires, their sexual needs, so that they can better share a sexual experience with the one they love. I find this in no way "dirty".

Do you not understand that males have a natural sex drive to attempt to prevent their species from becoming extinct? To relieve their sex drive, males can either:

A) have sex.

B) masturbate.

C) have wet dreams (an alternate form of B).

Which would you prefer to see? You have already criticized masturbation, so would you prefer to see men having sex with women every time they feel sexual desires?

If men don't have sex or masturbate, then the result is having "wet dreams," which is basically the same thing as masturbation.

There are innumerable ways we can relieve sexual desires without engaging in a filthy and abnormal sexual act.

Masturbation would be considdered the norm now a days..... I feel anybody can do whatever they want with their bodies.... if you don't like to masturbate, so be it.... but honestly, and no offense, but you're in the abnormal category when it comes to the overall population in the world and how many do it.

I completely disagree! how is a wet dream basically the same as masturbation? are you willfullly stimulating your private parts whilst asleep? I don't think so, that argument doesn't work...sorry!

Praxius, masturbation is "abusing" ones body because God intended female and male genitalia for procreation and sexual pleasure only when married. Thus, rubbing your private parts is deviate sexual desire -- it's abnormal. We must keep in mind that just because a majority does whatever, it doesn't make it morally right. If 55% of the worlds population smoked cigarettes, does this make it right?

The dreams and fantasies that you experience during a wet dream are a direct result of your desires in real life. Whether you are conscious or not when you fantasize about these desires is irrelevant.

I would disagree with there being no difference. I don't believe either one to be 'dirty' but to masturbate you are willfully putting yourself in the state of mind to do so. You are also the one doing the act. You are in control, and that is the difference. I believe Madeleine would not say that it is a sin to have a wet dream or an erection, because that is not something you have direct control over, it's not a concsious will. But your masturbation habit is completely under your control.

Weeeellll, nothing is impossible with God! Jesus is God incarnate, and God is absolutely Holy and Righteous and cannot sin because it is against His immutable nature.
