| Principled Observer Location: Toledo, Ohio Posts: 13,876 | Smokers... do you roll/stuff your own? I just recently started stuffing my own cigarettes. Mainly because I like the extra ability of screwing the tax collector out of more money, but also because after trying a friends, the quality was superior to any purchased cigarette I have tried. Do any of the smokers out there roll or stuff your own cigarettes? I am currently using the Vera Cruz Nocturne "tube" in king size, with filter, and a blend of McClintock Light and Roland Light. Fantastic, bold taste, with a rich chocholate taste and smell, and NO chemical or bleached paper taste as with bleached papered cigarettes. Anyone else? | Skeptical Patriot Posts: 7,832 | I WOULD roll my own if tobacco came mentholated and the other shit in it was reduced. The biggest problem I see with todays cigarettes is the crap added to them, such as wood chips and other garbage, as well as the extra nicoteine. Not a day goes by that I don't see something that reinforces my belief that people are idiots. |

| Posts: 3,018 | I'm not old enough to buy cigarettes but I have rolled up various substances.. I love the feeling.. rolling something up.. it's the same feeling I get when I pick up a block of wood and start chipping away. (haven't done either in a long long time) Powerful.. magical.. e-e-e-eevil.. |

| Odd Girly Girl Location: Wisconsin Posts: 557 | I'm too lazy to roll my own cigarettes. But, I know several people who do, mostly for cost effectiveness though. Also, my fiance is so against smoking that even the sight of cigarettes or anything tobacco related (even lighters) that I have to hide my smokes and what not from his sight. I think if I had an area where I was constantly rolling them would case way too many issues. |

| THROBBIN ROBIN Location: USA Posts: 311 | I have tried rolling my own (cigarettes that is ) and I have found that not only do I prefer the taste of brand cigarettes, I am horrible at rolling! As for the other... wouldn't a glass piece make more sense?? I mean, not validating it or anything, but I always thought it would taste better that way! DON'T TAKE AWAY MY RIGHTS JUST BECAUSE YOU DON'T EXERCISE YOURS. | moderat-e/o-r Location: boston Posts: 11,184 | i don't normally roll my own, but i have in the past. they definitely do taste better than the manufactured ones, and save a lot of money. you just have to be willing to put in the time. one thing i don't like about the roll-your-owns is that they don't have filters.. it'd be nice if they did. |

Have you tried McClintock Methol, or Stokers Iceburg? Quote:
America's Supplier Of Roll Your Own Tobacco, Cigarette Machines, Tubes and Accessories D&R Tobacco, Bulk Tobacco and RYO MYO Cigarette Tobacco I go through both of them, since neither sells BOTH kinds of tobacco I like. They offer all natural, chemical and additive free tobacco, papers and other stuff. I had a friend who tried for the first time to grow tobacco last year, but he didn't have luck. This year he is going to try again, with some new techniques he has studied. Quote:
It takes me about 5 minutes to weigh and mix my tobacco, and about 30 to 35 minutes a day to roll 2 1/2 packs, which is roughly what I smoke per day. There is a little space involved, and a little intitial expense, but overall I am much more satisfied smoking, enjoy it more and do it less, and save money too. Its like a win, win, win, win situation for me. Quote:
Check this out, this is what we use now and it works great. Premier Supermatic stuffing machine: Premier Supermatic We bought it here: Cigarette Tubes, World's Best Selection Ours is of good quality, is very consistent if you keep your loading consistent, and has been very trouble free. It completely fills the tube to the filter, and provides a nicely packed cigarette, though I usually "tap" mine on the machine a few times each as I roll them, to pack them tighter. Quote:
Vera Cruz Nocturne Tubes Non-bleached paper, and very good quality in my opinion. They don't make "light" filters yet, which I prefer, but until then I just poke a single hole at the tobacco side of each filter and it lessens the smoke content by about 50% I would say per hit. | trendsetter Location: cleveland Posts: 317 | Cigarettes - online cigarettes. $12.40 for Marlboro cigarettes. Cheap cigarettes. Camel cigarettes. that's for all of you who don't want to roll your cigarettes and also not pay $5/pack. they're made in moldova and marlboro lights cost about $18/carton including shipping. they may not taste the same as american-manufactured cigs but they do the job for me. i've been ordering my smokes from here for years. |
