![]() Slightly Dangerous Location: Greencastle, PA Posts: 1,333 | Post/Page cutoff points I'm just wondering if anyone else has post cutoff points. If I have been following a thread from the get go, I can usually keep up. However, if I don't check for a couple days, threads have a way of getting five pages added to them. I don't know about anyone else (hence the post), but my attention span can't handle that, especially with some of the long winded posts we get around here. I've also notice a direct correlation between the length of a thread and quality of said thread. I'm not saying that those who post on page 10 are any less intelligent or insightful than those who post on page 2--it just seems, for example, that a lot of points stated on page 2 are repeated on page 5, page 7, page 10, and twice on page 11. This leads me to believe that many are like me and just don't have the attention span to read all those posts, but unlike me post anyway thinking that they have anything original to add. I think my limit will be three pages from now on. I don't believe in polls, and 62% of Americans agree with me ~Steven Colbert |
