Sorry to do something you hate. I didn't understand what you were getting at and wanted clarification.

If you mean why did I decide I would be a moderator if accepted?

1) I was under the impression before that moderators were not supposed to opinionate very much, but was corrected on this.

2) I thought moderators had to "police" every thread, and I didn't know if I wanted the responsibility of reading through things I wasn't interested or knowledgeable in.

It looks like I was wrong about that as well.

That being said, I would still choose to opinionate less as a mod as I personally feel that leads to better moderating, and this would be good for all of us! ;-)

I work from home on the computer and flip back and forth between work and this and other things.

Kidding aside, it seems your political motivations are very strong and towards, err not sure which side it leans on but your adamant support for Palestine is intriguing, is it shared by your friends as well?

Not at all. Except for the Syrian friend, of course. The rest of my friends aren't political at all. That's why I like this forum so much. My friends are very entertaining, but don't support my serious side.

No, I am not a housewife. What a laugh! But I have gone from 10-15 hour days filled with people to working out of my home which is an adjustment.

It will be worth it when I have it all going to be my own boss, though :-)

I've invited three in here from my Arab forum to help us see their POV.

It took me an entire year of arguing with my Syrian friend and the people in an Arab forum from the American and Israeli perspective (they LOVE me in there, lol...) to find out I was arguing the wrong side on that issue in many instances.

I still argue the points I feel they are wrong about, but I cannot stay on Israel's side completely after my education in the overall situation through them and my own independant study.

I argue their side more fervently in here because I feel it is the lesser understood.

Not propaganda, but certainly a one-sided view presented in the media here, etc. Plus, even a lot of informed people here are Pro-Israel no matter what.

Either because of religion or not looking at the situation from a perspective other than what's good for America and/or a prejudice toward Arabs.
