First off, it was FUNNY! The science was bad, the theories exaggerated, and I just LOVED the old Vice President doing everything and the dumb "young" President deffering to him almsot the entire movie...

Yeah, it was blatent Bush - Cheney bashing. I was cracking up hard core.

Quiad did a good job, I like him, so did Bilbo... er Ian Holms and Sam wasn't too bad. The rest were.. functional at best.

I DID like the tornadoes in LA sequence, that was neat. Great F-5 hitting skyscrappers, but they don't rip the walls apart like that so much as blow out windows, and a big enough building would disrupt the flow of a Tornado... But it WAS neat.

The BEST part though... hehe was walking out of the theater, were the enivromental wack jobs with flyers for "Save MAine, save the world" When I laughed walking by the lady said something like "We are just trying to save the world, save maine.." I said very loud turnign my head "Why don't you try EDUCATING YOURSELF FIRST?!?!!!?!!"

And was gonna drive by shouting things at them but Jen(My Girlfriend stopped me from getting in trouble) so I jsut slow rolled past them revving my engine, burning fossil fuels and warming the earth up...

Man I had a good laugh though.

Einstein's "Theory of Relativity" is still being challenged to this day, but by consensus Global Warming is a fact... that's REAL science at work, why didn't Albert just go that route?

Haha, and a hefty 2-liter of Keystone. This is the biggest ramble ever.

Anyway, I'd like to see that movie just for the special effects. :)

The effects are unbelievable. But the movie is disturbing. It's not just anti-current white house occupier, it's also EXTREMELY anti U.S. and based on LIES. This movie made me very angry. During the scene where everyone is fleeing to Mexico and the voiceover is talking about "American Refugees", half the audience started laughing and shouting in Spanish. Let's thank the Republicans AND the Democrats for this.

Vic,

I just finished watching THE CORE. Horrible science as well.

I might see this one during the weekend. I love watching bad movies and noticing the horrible plot points.

The first half was good with super cool effects and "OMG" - experiences, then it turned to utter shit.
And the Bush+Cheney - bashing was just ridiculous. It was ALL too preachy about the enviroment etc etc.

Crap.

I don't recommend you look up "The Day After Tomorrow" on IMDB and read the messgeboard. It's scary.

I'd like to thank Charlie Hodge, bringing me scarves and water.

I agree the computer generated effects were very good. Other than that I thought the movie was quite lame. The story was canned, the acting okay, I didn't much care if the characters lived or died. I was laughing as thousands were killed during the flood. The politics really made a joke out of the movie. Anyone who has actually read and understands the Kyoto accords, and still supports it, has an agenda that I vehemently disagree with. This movie is simply another attempt of hollywood preaching at us, the ignant unwashed masses.
