Volconvo's Most Overused Quotes

This may not go up for long, but I thought I'd make a point about driving quotes into the ground. This thought came to me when I was reading a post by a n00b in the philosophy/religion forums. This person used (and abused) the following quote..without attribution and entirely unrelated to the topic, I might add:

Stephen Henry Roberts (1901-71): I contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than you do.

Known offenders:
Runa
Zhav

Obviously, the poster was chomping at the bit to use this little gem. Unfortunately, I've seen it far too many times here for it to faze me. Anyone else want to volunteer one? Extra points if you can cite the offenders.

I believe Scribbler1 has that in his sig, and I've quoted it before as well. (And that's not the full quote...that's much more thought provoking.) I doubt it's been quoted as often as certain Bible verses, but who cares. The message of that quote is worth considering. If theists can accept that there are "false gods" out there, what makes them so absolutely sure theirs is the right one?

I don't reject Gods, I see them as equally legitimate attempts as mine is to explain the divine presence.

I don't think that quotes over-used, in fact, its only weeks old for me and I like the sense involved in it.

most over-used in my opinion, that should be its own quote:

"....its legal, so it must be constitutional!"

Well, that is slightly different.

a.) many people put quotes in their sig. So what.
b.) I'm not using them as an argument.
c.) No one reads sigs anyway
d.) Those particular verses aren't frequently quoted.

This is because you, like half the internet, have a sig quote taken from the bible.

Do they come before or after the part about murdering your children for talking back to you?

Honestly, doesn't your god have something very specific to say about accusations & stone throwing?
