My review of current news stories.

I am posting my news reviews here so that I do not have to provide links and go through a lot of red tape so that I can talk about each story.

It seems President Bush is going to try to blame his failure in Irag on Iran. He now has his staff out in force on talk shows to suggest that Iran is behind the power of the insurgents to keep the war going. They claim that Iran is suppling the terrorists in Irag with arms and bomb making materials, funding, and even outsiders who are willing to fight the political factors in Irag that are not user friendly to Iran.

The Bush people now claim that the reason they cannot win the war with the current number of troops there is because Iran got involved to help the insurgents.

Like any good fundamentalist they found a new "demon" (to replace Saddam) to target as the evil one for thier on-going crusade.

That is my slant on the news story (aired on most stations). Whatcha think?

Next in the news would be the record breaking weather conditions most of the USA is experiencing this week with the new cold front. Many states have lows not seen in the life times of their occupants. Burrr.

We dropped from 90 degree weather here in So California to a low 24 degrees in a matter of a few days. Which put a chill on Arnold's speech about saving us from Global Warming. None the less this last blast of cold weather and high winds is one of the side effects of Global Warming and the other factors that have upset our weather conditions. Directly related to the use of fosil fuels and other polutions.

Whatcha think?

The are training teenage kids from the Explorer Scouts on how to safeguard our southern boarders by arresting undocumented workers of drug transporters, the kids had fun with their plastic (orange colored) toy guns while under training. But they must wait until they are 18 or old enough to get a gun permit before they can acturally "join the war" directed at Mexicans. (what'cha think of that one?)

How do you like the way I word the news stories, I do not tippy toe around like the other news sources.

Well, The movie award season is near at hand, the same big time stars will get the awards as expected, but at least you can watch the girls walking the red carpet with their topless dresses while everyone else is wearing snow jackets.

Burr, but the Dreamgirls will be hot none the less.

And so as my final report. It is all those hot women that are causing global warming, no wonder the oceans are heating up with all those Bay Watchers swimming around.

Whatcha' think?

What's bewildering to me is how easley the American voting public can be:) Bush was elected president with a vice president that has hugh fianical interest in the Middle East:eek: Try and fugure that one out:eek:
I'm 56 years old, in this society that's old, so I've seen a lot go down in this country. If someone would have told me the future ( society ) would have evolved to where it's at I would have answered no way, it just can't get that bad, well just when you think you've seen it all isn't thier an event, chain of events that pop up!

I have my own blog called "Into the Blue" where I write about improtant stuff.

Every now in then I get the bug to make comments about the Evening News but some monitors were unhappy because I did not put in a link nor did I repeat the story word for word as it is programmed by Washington or others to read.

Most of my news stories were moved to the "goofball" forum here at Volconvo. But this time the post survived.

But why would say I should Blog? Too many topics in one message to handle?

I like the Target store ads on TV. Especially the one where they have a girl group sing the Beatles song "Hello Goodbye"

PS - Great comment about the lastest news events.

PS - I am thinking about starting up my own T-shirt business. Techno T Shirts.

The shirt will have images of newspapers and newsmakers as a background, But the shirts will all have holes in them. And a banner on the back that reads "Overcome Ozone Holes".

Hey Google, are you listening?

When Bush was being elected to his first term in office I was posting at a forum on the Ophrah webpage (one of the few guys there posting). Then Sean got me in here with his promotional efforts (along with anyone else he could contact). Back then I was posting stuff to try to get people not to vote for Bush and when he mentioned Irag I also posted agenst that war.

Today on the news they had a report which did not last long enough to get much info from, but they said that someone created a new genetic chicken that is able to produce cancer fighting drugs in it's system. Then all you do is egg the eggs everyday to help prevent cancer. They said the eggs would be cheaper to produce via the chickens then by the human drug companies.

I said "what"? The nightly news only gave the story a few moments of attention, but I thought that was major news - I mean, using genetically atlered chickens to make drugs which forumlas end up in their eggs - no more drugs, just eggs? I was floored. They got lots of chickens in South America and so what if someone smuggled in a dozen eggs with some unlawful drug in them? Or chickens that produce them? The news did not mention the part about unlawful drugs, only the cancer fighting drugs that the chickens hatch.

What is our world coming too? Is a good question or good comment. I agree with you on that ( I am also old, and not even in the 1960s then anyone ever think about chickens laying eggs with drugs that that the chicken produced due to genetic alterations). Hey, we could get some genetic cows to produce drugs in the milk also. But why use animals? Why not just alter people genetically so that our bodies produce those drugs then we can say bye bye to all those expensive drug companies.

If you think the world is getting nuts now, just wait til the year 2030.

I was watching the news last night and they showed where Bush is already sending troops in Irag from Kuwait. He moved fast like even before Congress or Democrats could attempt to veto his "new war plan for a new "Irag Order". ( well, not new world order, at least.).

It's now 4:30 so I think I will tune in the news and see what else is worthy of comment. Be back later with my lasted interpretations.

I have a foggy recollection of someone growing medicine in tobacco plants. As the plants grow bigger, they produce more medicine. Thats why it was cheaper than factories. All plants need is water and sunlight.

That is correct, they acturally implant DNA from a person into the tobacco plant and when they grow a lot of them the plant creates a product that can be used to cure cancer in the DNA doner. It worked on the rats. The research group said they must study it for another 10 years before they can offer the process for marketing purposes.

This would mean that if you just started smoking that by the time it takes to develope lung cancer they will have a cure, right?

The medical industry told President Bush today that cancer deaths have dropped this year ( a big drop ) due to research and better and safer treatment programs being used. The stats showed that fewer white people died (or lived longer) because of those new treatments, but the stats showed that black people (mostly poor folks) continued to die at the same rate as before.

But on the backstages of TV shows the black actors have come a long way baby, it seems one of them called a white guy a fag and he did not get hanged for it. That happened close to MLK day. The black guy told reporters at the globe award show that he "said not such thing" but none the less (without a trial) many webpages have created petitions to get the black guy fired for the TV show "Grey's Anatomy". But the white guy was on a major TV show today saying that he did and so he was forced to "come out" as a gay person in public.

Meanwhile the gang wars continue in L.A.

A local news story ( Local News, Weather, TV Schedules, Entertainment - Washington DC ) told about a drive-by shooting incident where a tiny girl was shot to death in her house, the person who fired the shot was let out of jail because he used his gun in "self defense" in order to shoot back at the drive-by shooters from another gang. Self defense is legal but he missed the intended target and the bullet killed the child across the street, an innocent victim. So another kid dies due to our stupid "right to bear arms" law. The police department responded by saying they intend to crack down on drive by shooters. eh? Well, better late then never.

It did not snow on the red carpet for the award show but it did snow in Bell Air and along the beach areas of L.A. in So. California. Snow at sea level has not happened for ages and ages. About 2 inches of snow in the hills.

The weathermen did not predict it yesterday. This came on heels of Arnolds speech about saving us from Global Warming. Gee - we knew he was a action hero, but that was pretty fast!

Arnold made another speech today. He said that we cannot turn out back on Iraq and we should give it all we got before quiting. But he said that we must put a deadline date on when we intend to stop giving it all we got. How about that. The Republicans can be happy that he supports Bush's build up, and the Democrats can be happy that a "end date" for pulling out is indicated.
A real "win win" answer for the present conflict in Washington.

"lets work together, every brother and sister" (Canned Heat).

Now for my weather forecast: Big storms coming this winter, expect more rain and high winds to sweep across the USA and Mexico.

By the way, the good news about the reduction in cancer deaths was acturally a sales pitch to get more funding for research, as they also got less money from Congress last year for all the reseach projects on the "back burners".

Speaking of Congress (segway) the Democrats had put forth an non-binding resolution to protest the current build of of troop population in Iraq. The non-binding resolution is not expected to have any effect but makes for good press. Mrs Clinton just returned from Iraq and likewise apposed the build up of troop involvement but is asking for more troops in Afganistan because we are also loosing there due to the return A Q and local insurgents. She sounded rather "presidential" in her address to nations reporters. If we moved the troops out of Irag over to Afganistan then the A Q terrorists would follow and that would make Irag a little bit safer place of their local turf wars.

But as I already noted, troops are, at this very moment, being moved from Kuwait into Irag.

Meanwhile some more people were killed today in Irag and what made it newsworthy is that the attack was directed at a bus containing "privately contracted security agents". Not military personel, security guards.

It seems that Halliburton is hiring and maintaining their own armed security personel - aka - private army. If our troops depart we will still have armed security people fighting off insurgents to protect our oil interests ( by ours I mean Halliburton's). This security group are people who were trained at a para-military camp here in America. The old "off the shelf" army that was once also employed in Sourth America during the Contra conflict. Halliburton can currently bill Washington for those hired hands and also their private "reconstruction crews" who keep the oil pumps active.

Why do you think I'm not on TV nightly news?

Acturally I founded my news outlet back in the early 1950s. Unlike other kids who get a job passing out newspapers before school I put out my own newspaper, where I reported on things happening around our town. I even drew my own comic page with a cartoon about Danger Dan of the Dog Detectives. My 6th grade school teacher called my mom to complain about some of my spelling errors. I even went downtown and got people to pay for ads in my pager (which sold of 5 cents a copy). My mom was able to run off the paper where she worked on a machine and she charged me for the paper used. I had three other kids selling the paper door to door. The paper back then was called "The Neighborhood News" only it was spelled "The Naborhood News". My mom told the teacher my misspelling gave the newspaper "more charm".

Not many newsmen can boost of being in the business since the 1950s ( around about 1954 )

I watched the local news again tonight and found some of the local stories interesting.

Arnold sign a new "anti-global warming" bill that would reduce the amount of polution issued by cars in California. He had environmentalists and people from the oil refineries with him when signing the bill and he pointed out the both "sides" worked together to come up with this one solution. More details can be found on the NBC4 webpage.

Washington attacked local businesses here because California voted in laws that are "different" and independant of the Federal laws. The DEA raided 11 places that offer medical Marijuana (Hemp) and made arrests collections of "evidence". Some items were smashed or broken during the raids and the patients dealing with AIDs or Cancer were given a scare. Today groups protested the raids claiming that the DEA is "terrorising the sick and dieing". Medical Marijuana is lawful under state law but still unlawful according to Washington. The protesters hope that the new Democrats taking office will change the Federal laws. "Time for Congress to grow up" the signs read.

The police have organized a crack down of gangster activity in one neighborhood in L.A. They will be searching everyone who looks like a gang member and they will take away weapons, drugs, and cars in a move to reduce drive-by shootings.

Meanwhile two "big name" gangs have signed a temporary "peace treaty" to go into effect today.

The snow melted but the high winds are forcast for this weekend, we have been having a rash to strong winds so far this year that are beyond the norm, and more "red flag" fire warnings being issued.

Now for the World News. Which I already reported (somewhat on) before today. Not all women are treated for breast cancer the same as those who are "recovering" which moved the cure status up this year.

Here are the ones getting less treatments.

Fat Women.

Poor Women ( lacking good insurance ).

Black Women.

NBC channel 4 admitted they presented a news report that was not confirmed or "checked out" before airing it. They reported that many baby safty seats were unsafe. As it turns out the testing company made a misstake and that the car seats are in fact safe. A lot of people dumped their old seats and had to buy new ones out of fear due to that first story, which was costly. But was a "boost" for those selling car seats.

The newsmen presenting the story were not fired. ( as was Dan Rather when he reported about Bush's military record )>

Another report on Global Warming from the Anartica. The ocean is 3 degrees warmer around the ice shelves ( compared with three years ago ).
The thinner ices have melted into the sea and the larger ice and snow blocks that cover the surface is "on the move". Millions of years of ice build up may soon slip into the oceans creating drastic changes in the world as we now know it.

The ice has built up there during at least 8 ice ages according ITM scientists.

And so to sum up. The DEA is attacking AIDS and Cancer patients who use hemp as a treatment and the Doctors are not giving poor, black, or fat women enough medicene to help insure their recovering from lung cancer.

They are training monkeys as nurses for other patients.

The South pole is melting and the Californa Government is effecting a new law to reduce greenhouse gasses by 10 percent per auto. It was not reported how much more we will pay for the new gasoline products that are cleaner burning. But the oil men at the news event were all smiles.

The L.A. police department will have some neat looking lowrider cars for sale at their next auction. They will prevent drive-by shootings by taking away the cars of the "gang members" they "search". Along with their gus as they do not have the "right to bear arms". House ot house searches soon to take place.

That is the global news as I spin it.

(because it is kind of a spin-off of the world news - get my gest?).

Or how about this one?

That is our world tonight as our producer wants you to percieve it.

Well, I have another interptering tid-bit from yesterday's news for California.
Someone has put forth a bill that would make spanking unlawful, Although you can currently get into trouble if you leave marks or harm the child physically they never really made a law to outlaw all spanking, such as the mild ones or where you give the kid a little whack. (except by school teachers).

If the bill goes through the act of spanking a kid would be simular to sexual molestation of a kid and you would get arrested and put into jail. They might even have a webpage for "known spankers that live in your neighborhood".

Sorry, this is not really a funny matter, I guess.

Kids could get their parents arrested if they wish to file a charge of "unlawful spanking" on them. Who then is in control?

Perhaps some Nun could get arrested for spanking kids ten years ago and thusly causing them "mental problems" later in life.

However the police can club teens and minors in the line of duty if they follow all the departmental standards of "proper clubbing". Like during a protest or whatever.

So you would think we could have a department of parenting where folks could learn the proper standards that must be followed and conformed too when spanking teens or minors. Just like the police have training on how to conform to the standards of law enforcement, parents should also get training on how to properly enforce house rules in an effective manner.

The reason being if the kid does not conform to the parent then the cops will end up controlling the kid with billy clubs and other weapons. What is best for the kids and society?

Well, that is our global news as I spin it.

Tune in later for another edition.

Those are all good ones, but do not sound like "sign offs". Anyway I never really sign off do I?

How about

Unspelling news makes you stupid. (opps, forgot about our Volconvo rules, now I am deep doo doo).

Connecting points a and b as fast as possible is part of my scientific theory you know, more so then for news stories, but I guess I work it on both. So if you see dots and get dizzy, well, at least you can see the dots connecting but on TV all those little dots are unseen but they look like Dan Rather.

The fly has thousands of eyes to see how everything connects together and that is why he is so fast and so that is your "eye witness" report for now, tune in for next edition and we will dig up some more garbage with our eye witness fly by.
