Best Volconvo Debater

Who do you think deserves praise? Who do you think excels in the art of debate? Who's tactics and style do you admire? And why?

I'll start off.

Lullaby Chainer is probably the most amazing, intelligent, witty, handsome, creative, and overall best debater to ever walk the digital streets of debatorism. He never loses a debate, and his witty come-backs are enjoyed by all. We may only wish we were like He, but we constantly fail short of His glory. Never has a man, woman, child, or beast harvested such unimaginable amounts of pure truth and knowledge, which makes LC a powerful and unstoppable opponent armed with good grammar and the favor of the gods.

Is this a joke? Doesn't saying that you admire yourself sorta defeat the purpose of asking us who we think are great debaters on Volconvo? Also you talked about yourself in 3rd person in a way that made it sound like you trying sounds like two different people. If your going to do this at least be reasonable.

I doubt my sanity; yet again I doubt yours as well

Horray! Then it is settled. Since there are no other nominations, Lullaby Chainer wins hands down.

I nominate Isherwood, Coffeesaint, and Sonart back when he posted here. All three seem to be very consistent in their thinking, and are also solid defenders of their statements.

Now you have competition Lullabye .

Side effects may include gastrointestinal homicide, theft of luck, apocalyptic hallucinations, and demonic possession. Please do not soak in milk as doing so will result in death.

I like Ish for his humor the most, I guess humor has an element of genius.

Lullaby seems to be wearing a mask (ego) with mirrors where the eyeholes are supposed to be.

I'll do my imitation of Auto and ask: Define best. Do you mean who would win in a formal debate? Do you mean who changes the most minds? What defines "best"?

In that case, I'd win in a formal, structured, moderated, rule-based debate.

I'm even willing to prove it, if anyone wants to take the challenge.

I can just see the jeers and insults from those who want to tell me I'm wrong but deep down know that would probably lose.

It would depend on the judge and the format. Lincoln-Douglas, that would probably go to one of the passionate, truthy people. Four Man, well - you would do well but win hands down? Not so sure on that. But, you do steer clear of nastiness for the most part, and you at least try to come at things from a factual point of view.

I get too fired up to really remain above the fray and that makes me piss people off, so I ain't that good at changing minds. I love the smart-ass gotcha too much.

Smart-ass gotcha is fun. But I see it as a "I've got nothing better to say"

And if there were stricter rules, I'd follow them.

I do amateur debating for money once a month. It's fun.
