Jeb Bush Seeks Refuge From Pa. Activists

Protesters greeted Florida Gov. Jeb Bush on his way to a campaign event for a Pennsylvania senator, and he briefly took refuge in a subway station supply closet to avoid the anti-Republican demonstrators. The president's brother encountered protesters on their way to join a demonstration outside the exclusive Duquesne Club, where Sen. Rick Santorum, a Republican, was holding a fundraiser Friday. As a precaution, Bush was ushered into a station supply closet and stayed there until the crowd left.

You just can't make this stuff up. I am just glad the Jeb finally came out of the closet, so to speak.

Gender preference aside, the image of a Republican governer, the brother of the President no less, hiding in the closet from protestors strikes me as extremely funny. Only rallies with hand-picked supporters chanting on cue will do, apparently.

No, Jeb Bush's hiding in the closet is his own responsiblity. After Jeb's antics in the election of 2000 and the Schiavo affair, I have zero respect for the sumbitch.

got any proof of that, I was in Florida in 2000, I was a member of the Executive Commitee for the Republican Party in Sarasota County, none of that happened, there were recounts after recounts innaseaum, and Bush won all of them, even the comprehensive recount that occured after he took office, the results just didn't make it into any mainstream media.

The recounts needed to be ended, they were not covered in the US Constitution nor the Florida Constitution, they were costing the taxpayers of Florida millions of dollars and the cost in time for the recounters (of which I was one) is immeasurable. The Supreme Court said so.

On November 7 tens of thousands of eligible Florida voters were wrongly prevented from casting their ballots--some purged from the voter registries and others blocked from registering in the first instance. Nearly all were Democrats, nearly half of them African-American. The systematic program that disfranchised these legal voters, directed by the offices of Florida Governor Jeb Bush and Secretary of State Katherine Harris, was so quiet, subtle and intricate that if not for George W. Bush's 500-vote eyelash margin of victory, certified by Harris, the chance of the purge's discovery would have been vanishingly small.

Newsflash - Jeb Bush is now claiming that he wasn't hiding in a "closet". He was hiding in a "boiler room".

Bush said he had to seek safety in the boiler room when he came across the protesters, but also said he was never concerned for his safety because he was taller and "more burly” than most of the protesters who chased him.

OK, so now we know that Jeb denies beign in the closet and is a "burly" manly-man.
