| Sedimentary Rock Location: England Posts: 15 | I'm a big fan of Eddie Izzard - he's pretty offbeat with his subject matter and keeps breaking out into mime or conversations with himself, and he's also a very funny man. Bill Bailey is, if anything, slightly weirder (he has a strange fascination with small animals, it seems) and every bit as funny. Part Troll always makes me laugh, and his songs are decent too. Jimmy Carr's another favourite, but his humour's a lot harsher and more dry and sarcastic than that of the other two. He's hilarious if you take some of the things he says with a grain of salt, as I'm pretty sure he does too. Stephen Fry is also brilliant, but I haven't seen him doing proper stand-up yet - just appearing on, or writing for, thing. |

| BANNED Posts: 2,630 | Wanda Sykes has a wickedly funny new HBO special I just caught the last half hour of it , and had tears streaming from my eyes laughing so hard. I hope they re-run it soon so I can tape it. She did a bit about women having a removable p*ssy, that is one of the funniest routines I've ever heard. She does some pretty funny lines about gay marriage too. ![]() HBO: WANDA SYKES: SICK & TIRED the DVD will be available 10/17 |

Eddie Izzard (past it these days though), Bill Bailey, Dylan Moran is a smaller god, Bill Hicks, Lee Evans is 50/50, Jenny Eclaire was good. Outside of standup, the Smack the Pony girls are good, Steve Coogan and Chris Morris are fantastic. | BANNED Posts: 2,630 | Last night on Real Time with Bill Maher he did a new rule and final rant about Mark Foley not the biggest threat to your kids from this Congress. Bill Maher ranted that it's wrong for Foley to ask kids to measure their penises, but your fat little kids haven't seen their penises in years. Then he said In schools there are people stalking your kids for death, they're called recruiters. He whacked Pfizer and Merck about parents getting their kids on anti-psychotic drugs,(up 400%) my favorite line was...."There are so many larded out little junkies it looks like Rush Limbaugh had puppies." |
