There was a movie about Erwin Rommel on AMC today. I'd heard of him before and the movie made him into a hero. A Nazi hero? Well he just seemed to be a professional soldier known for his chivalry. This was an old movie, of course. I wasn't able to watch most of it between paying attention to the boys bouncing around the room, but I caught enough to pique my interest. He is also noted for possibly having taken part in a plot to assassinate Hitler, for which he was forced to commit suicide before the war's end.

I'd never heard this stated as 'possibly' before. What's the Volconvo pov on this peice of history? Which brings me to the point of this thread.

I was wondering if a History category would be appropriate if somebody wanted to start a thread on some hisorical event to find out different things. I wanted to discuss something of history and thought it would have merit if there was a place where people did that specifically. I dunno. What you think?

Volconvo's turned out to be more than I'd hoped. The global conversation is right here. This is our street and our neighborhood. I think a place like Volconvo would do well to have more posters from different regions of the world. Not to say that this site doesn't contain good diversity. If Volconvo has a marketing plan, it would do well as a main objective in that category if at all feasible. Does it cost more to market abroad on the internet? My instinct say no but it's possible. I'm sure there's things that can be done to get more 'farners'. Also, people living outside of the U.S could try to get people they know. For instance, Tiny Bear is overseas so he could help by finding to invite. People in the UK holla!! What ever happended to Henry-Finland? Sup Nono? The problem is the only incentive for bringing new members is in the quality of poster and their insight. I'm thinking too hard now. It's probably best to get as many people to try and the ones that take the heat or bring warmth, get to stay.

On another side note. Volconvo has the most subtle hazing ritual. I'm not sure it's even conscious. The unique balance of debate and conversation makes this place what it is. shitty. ha! made you look. Seriously. it's neat. Speaking of which, I'm sorry Vic I didn't mean it. I only say this cuz I know you didn't mean it... like it was percieved anyway.
