Italy. Love the language, love the art, love the history. And Mrs. CoffeeSaint is Italian, so I like the women, too.
If there were too many political problems or anything of the sort -- I have never looked into emigrating -- and I had to stay in the US, I'd go for Monterey, California, though not necessarily the city itself. Somewhere along the coast, Big Sur, Santa Cruz, something like that.
I'd like to visit Great Britain, as most of my heritage is scattered all over there, but I don't know if I want to live there. I don't know anything about it, really, except American stereotypes, though I admit, as I don't like either uncharted wilderness like Osborn or downtown city living like bishop, a long-civilized nation like Britain might be just the thing for me. I'd love to live on a country farm that was near a reasonable sized town; any chance of that in GB?
Unless you stick yourself up a hill in Scotland or Wales, your rarely going to be more than 30-40 minutes drive from somewhere significant in the UK.

Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.

Yes, a stable climate.

Until the next tsunami turns your house into an artificial reef, that is.

I only listed islands with mountainous terrain, and islands that have some altitude, not just those little reefs that barely stick out of the water.

Either way, I think I'd rather pit myself against nature, than with the corrupt governments people have created to rule over us. At least if the earth swallows me up, I can chuckle at the irony of it all, rather han spend my days looking over my shoulder so I can defend myself from all the liars, and thieves.

Yeah, that stable climate beckons, even if it were only San Diego, or some other more stable environment that I have here, I still want to see how my body would react to heat without the periodic freeze out every trip around the Sun.

There aren't too many places I'd rather live than where I am right now. I live on the East coast of Florida, in a town called Melbourne. It's only 15 minutes away from the beach and 45 minutes away from Orlando. Jacksonville and Miami are about 2 and 3 hours away, respectively. The weather's beautiful (most of the time!), the people are friendly, and there isn't a shortage of things to do. In fact, the only times I haven't gone out over the weekend have been when I wanted to stay at home.

Eh, the tropics should be a fairly stable environment even if the warming persists.

Thats is where the bulk of the life was hiding during all thwe other warming, and cooling events, and the ice ages events throughout earths history.

which tropics do you mean? the tropics in the carribean sure got a beating last summer, thanks to the hurricanes.. the only other tropics are hawaii, the philippines and a handful of relatively unknown and impoverished spots.

with all these frightening changes in global weather lately, i wouldn't mind having a place in a warm spot during the winter, and living up, far north during the winter.

hope for america...
