| Igneous Magma Location: Minnesota Posts: 395 | I have two words: So what? Good God, my ex boyfriend's dad said more volitile stuff than that and you don't see him in the news. Yeah, I know, Mel's a celebrity. But who's he hurting? I find him an idiot, but he's allowed to say what he wants. If he hates gay, he can say it. And the gay community can bash him for doing so. Same for the Jews, and the Pagans. If he went on about the damn n*****s, I'd still be chuckling because its not my place to be offended for someone. Personally, I dislike the word but he's not talking about me. I would hope the African American ranks would rise up in horror and disgust. But until he makes disparaging comments about women, I'll sit back, laugh and say, "Silly old Mel." |

Gibson was drunk and said some things he shouldn't have said. There is ZERO evidence that Gibson has ever ACTED inappropriately toward gays or Jews. It's not enough not to discriminate. One's mind must be pure of any heretical thought as well. The thought police are a danger to America. They must be stopped.

Oh, wait. Sorry, that was Sean Connery. Not a day goes by that I don't see something that reinforces my belief that people are idiots.

| BANNED Posts: 2,630 | Gibson called one woman officer "sugar tits" so women were denigrated as well as Jews. He also attempted to flee the arrest.........so now he's not only a sexist, anti-semetic, homobigot, he's cowardly TOO! Much of his arrest record got MAGICLY deleted from the official report, think that would have happened to Baldwin? |

If memory serves, Connery was pilloried in the media as well. This proves it's not just Mel Gibson, even GOOD actors can get in trouble in the press. Not a day goes by that I don't see something that reinforces my belief that people are idiots.

![]() The Cake is a lie... Location: St. Louis Posts: 2,361 | I still laugh everytime I watch James Bond slap some chick on the ass and say, "Run along. Man talk." What makes a man turn neutral? Lust for gold? Power? Or were you just born with a heart full of neutrality? |

![]() Throbbing Member Location: Old Europe Posts: 7,152 | If you call that conventional. I like the one with the punchline "Who was your client, the fucker or the fuckee?" It's racist and a trifle nasty. But it's also a good joke about jargon. Cute. "I wish I was as cocksure of anything as Tom Macaulay is of everything." -- Viscount Melbourne |

Remember, Ian Fleming created 007 in 1952 and the first Bond film was released only a decade later. Our heroes were textbook macho men. We demanded it and Bond, as well as Derek Flint, Matt Helm and others delivered it. Sensitive and/or thoughtful men were in short supply in those days, and most of the women I knew had no problem with that. Times do change, don't they? Not a day goes by that I don't see something that reinforces my belief that people are idiots.

| BANNED Posts: 2,630 | a.) he only had about .1 blood alchohol, not even sororiety sister drunk b.) he knew he'd been busted by a cop, would any of you then question the cop's religion? try to flee? blame all the woes of the world on Jews, and call a female officer 'sugar tits"? He is reprehensible, vile, and his career is OVER! |
