So? Would you prefer Michael Moore? Besides, this isn't Gore's program. It's a Discovery Channel television special, hosted by Tom Brokaw. You can watch it again on Saturday, July 29 at 2 pm, and again, Sunday, July 30 at 10 am.

Gore's movie is playing in theatres.
you did get that second part of the post you quoted, didn't you?

thanks for the info though.. if i'm around i'll try to check it out. the girl's going to illinois this weekend, so i'll probably be bored enough to watch.. heh.

hope for america...

holy sh*t is it hot over here...

my walk across the street this morning resulted in streams of sweat pouring down my face. everyone else waiting for the bus headed for the cover that the tree provided from the beaming sun..

i don't do well at all in the heat, especially in the sun (i'm easily susceptible to heat stroke)... by the time i got home, i ended up passing out cold for at least 2 hours.. didn't intentionally sleep that long - the heat killed me today.

tomorrow's supposed to be worse than today.. maybe the entire rest of the week will be this bad.. my a/c's just barely managing to keep the room somewhat comfortable. i also hear that the entire state of ny has an air quality warning in effect.

He hee! I was wondering how I could debate your topic....and well actualy its cold!

In Australia that is...apparently we had ice on our car windows!

Enjoy the heat while you can! I LOVE SUMMER!

How about that?

Hey, Fluffy, how about a swap? Ship some of that cold air over here and we'll box up some of our nice hot, sticky air for you.

LOL

People think global warming can up temperatures this much, this fast?

hehe

Anyways, it's like 108 over in Eastern Oregon (we're in a rain shadow, so we haven't really seen the color green for the past few months).

And the top temperatures in the past gave gotten up to like 115 in the early 1900's, IIRC.

Damnit, Clive! Here I was all set to bitch about it being 101 in Western Oregon, and you gotta trump me. Friggin' desert people.

Still hot here, though. At least it isn't Escondido (northern San Diego County, where I used to live). 110 there last weekend.

Bishop, how long have you lived in Boston? I grew up there, and I remember going to the Pops concert on the Fourth, and it was 104, plus humidity. Must have been 1983, '84, something like that. Closest I ever came to sunstroke.

i moved here a little over 2 years ago from jersey to go to brandeis as a grad student.. i'm actually in arlington, just a 15 minute walk from the alewife station. but i've been here long enough to hate the weather here.. it's always windy, and is either really chilly or moist as hell..

we just had a flash flood today.. the water's a few inches above the sidewalk right outside my apartment complex.

hope for america...

Your last summer wasn't bad enough for you, Fluffy?

I'd be careful what you wish for. You'll likely get it next summer.

Chris, I'm surprised you're surprised that GBA is a denier.

Currently it's 91 here. I'm supposed to attend a college reunion East of here in a couple of hours. Last report is it's 109 there.
I think I'll go naked. It's not like anyone will notice.
