I think the point is a place for people who cannot give their apology to the person they need to for some reason, so having it 'out there' makes them feel better.

I remember reading about this in college psych, but just can't remember the details (giving away my age here). Anyway, some people get really strange thoughts like this, irrationally feeling responsible for things, sometimes due to doing things they feel guilty for.

I can understand how one might have the occasional feeling of irrational guilt, but when you go and put it on a "confession" website it begins to look like hypersensiive BS.

Maybe I'm just feeling a bit realistic tonight. It's not a good decade to be the sensitive type.
