I myself am a recovered addict, so I would normally have a great deal of compassion and empathy for other addicts. Its the hypocrisy!!

If Rush didnt have such a (fake) hard on for maximum penalties for drug offenses, until it comes to himself. He should have DEMANDED the max penalty for his own FELONIES, rather than cutting deals. That would be standing by his convictions!

You guys who claim to have the moral highground actually just have the same vices as everyone else. Or even WORSE! Because you think you have an apparatus that gets you out of your jackpots. You can do anything you want and then be absolved by chanting Hell Mary!!

Thats the spin they are hoping for. Customs had to come up with a good reason for detaining him. Viagra is only one of the drugs he was caught with. I have a feeling the drugs they DIDNT tell us about, are the nails in his coffin.

The prescription was not in his name. Limbaugh was detained for more than three hours Monday at the airport after returning from a vacation in the Dominican Republic. Customs officials found the Viagra in his luggage but his name was not on the prescription, said Paul Miller, a spokesman for the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office. Miller said the alleged violation could be a second-degree misdemeanor. The sheriff's office was investigating and will soon turn the case over to the state attorney's office, which had no immediate comment Tuesday. Under the deal reached last month with prosecutors, Limbaugh was not to be arrested for any infraction for 18 months in exchange for authorities deferring a charge of "doctor shopping." Prosecutors had alleged the conservative talk-show host illegally deceived multiple physicians to receive overlapping painkiller prescriptions. Limbaugh also must submit to random drug tests and continue treatment for his admitted addiction to painkillers. Limbaugh's doctor had prescribed the Viagra, but it was "labeled as being issued to the physician rather than Mr. Limbaugh for privacy purposes," Roy Black, Limbaugh's attorney, said in a statement.

If Rush were in recovery like hes supposed to be...... The rigorous honesty part would have kept him from this possession charge. Any honorable prosecutor would go after him for this.

Sure the Viagra part is funny.
The script part is not.
And the cover-up of the other drugs, by the media is inconscienable.

What's the old expression, "Give someone enough rope and they will eventually hang themselves."

Ol Rushbo is no different that all of the hypocritical politicians he drags through the mud on a daily basis. He just gets caught.

We have a Democratic Mayor in Bridgeport Connecticut who just admitted to using Cocaine while serving as the mayor. He didn't fess up until his government issued cel phone outed him for calling known drug dealers. All of whom he was loudly condemning and prosecuting in the courts on a daily basis. And the FBI is NOT prosecuting him.

The black community is calling for his resignation and prosecution because of the Mayor's efforts to put black drug users behind bars. Where is the justice here????

Point being here is that all of these stinking politicians, Dems, Republicans, Follywood types, and God knows who else, all do drugs. They're no different than you or I but they get a free pass. And time and time again.

All I can say is I am not surprised.

And Dan, if you want to hang ol Rushbo, then you better hang Patrick Kennedy right along side of him. And the Mayor of Bridgeport, and every other stinking politician who has admitted drug use. The sooner the politicians begin to act sensibly and treat drug abuse as a health problem and not a criminal one, we will all be better off in society.
