Ah, I struck a nerve... There are no other ethnic/racial groups calling for reparations for actions committed over a century ago. There are no other ethnic/racial groups which commit 60% of all the murders in the US. There are no other ethnic groups wherein the leading cause of death among men 15-40 is murder...

To be honest, I'd go back in time and tell Nixon to put on makeup and win the television debate. The world went "out of kilter" when the drug-addicted, sexual predator and intellectual neophyte Kennedy got into office. Alternatively, I'd go back and leak the letters from a young JFK who, like his father, praised Hitler's reich in the late 30's....

Actually, he was. Watergate was a tempest in a teapot. If you don't think the Dems and Repubs spy on each other, you're naive. Like Clinton, Nixon's only problem was the coverup. He should have fired Liddy and others and cut off the conspiracy before it started.

Nixon's presidency was one of the greatest of the century. If you honestly study his record, without the shadow of Watergate, he acheived a great deal.

What annoys me is his thinking that it was perfectly fine for the president to break laws and lie to the citizens about it. Any president who thinks he's above the law should be removed from office.
There are ways to "spy" on each other that don't involve illegal means. If you believe the president is above the law, perhaps you're naive.

The first thing Clinton did when he got into office was order FBI files on all his enemies, an illegal action. Even today, there is zero evidence that Nixon was involved in the wiretapping itself. As I said, the coverup was wrong.

Yeah there is, Hispanics, by far the greatest cause of death for Hispanic males in the same age group is murder, Hispanic women are 1.5 times more likely to be raped (apparently?), over 60% of all murders in the US are gang related, over 50% of all gang members in the US are black, then hispanics. Why don't you go back and ask Santana to do the same as Lincoln.

I have not seen statistics that the leading cause of death for Hispanics is murder. I doubt it's accuracy. But, that is one of the three points I raised. The (legal) Hispanic community is a growing, hard working community. They do not have a victim mentality. They, like the Irish, Chinese and other ethnic groups before them, know that assimilating into mainstream US culture, and time, is necessary to acheive success. There is a marked distinction between blacks and Hispanics.

But, I was not discussing Hispanics. Care to address the troubles of the black community.

By the way, I did not say we should ship them back to Africa NOW. I said that, in 1861, Lincoln's instincts were correct. Both blacks and the US would have been better off if they had been repatriated to Africa.
