What would you do if it was your country?

If it was your country, what would you do if your country was attacked by other countries.

what had no legal right to do so by law .

Would you fight for your country ?.

Or take up whats on offer to feed your family, What i mean by that is to comply and submit to the invaders "will" ?.

Or hide in a hole and hope know one comes across you ?.

Or carry on as nothing as happened?.

I would fight for my family and people, I couldn't give a crap about the "country". That's taken as a synonym these days for state, and I have no love for the British state.

I don't like the word state ether, would you take up a insurgency, to keep what's right in your eyes so that you could keep your family safe from the invaders and there rule. How far would you go to keep whats yours by right.

Fire the Zeus Cannon! Launch ICBMs! Mobilize artillery batteries! Release the mutants with the lasers upon their heads!

Or, if you're a simple peasant with no access to a complete arsenal of destruction, shoot the buggers!

I would defend my country, but to be honest it would be in the spirit of self-preservation rather than nationalism.

Those buggers are going to waste our asses. They are coming for us. I like my ass gentlemen! Faliure to protect our asses is not an option! Go now! Defend your ass!

I know your type. You think, "I'll just get me a costume, rip off the neighborhood kids." Next thing you know, you've got a jet shaped like a skull with lasers on the front!

If my country was attacked-I would worry about staying with my family, and making sure there safe. I wouldn't worry about protecting other people except my family and friends. Now if they were in some safe haven-I would definitly fight in honor. Though I would fight after I know they can be safe.

If my country is ruled by a despot who rules it without regard to law or even human decency, and the so-called invaders are coming to depose him and put in place a genuine fair and freely elected government, I'll welcome them with open arms. :)

What if your country is ruled by a range of politicians whose policies have no regard to law or human decency? Would you support an invasion then, or is it just when it's a nice obvious target in the form of a leader you can support invasions?

Most countries are ruled by a sort of despots. Some are cruel and stupid enough to be detected - other make cloud of decency to be around them .

I would , just like Grandpa and later my Dad has done, do everything to destroy the invaders .
All invaders create an excuse . So, better not be mesmerized by the jugglery of words .

I prefer using the word "corruption" in place of the word "evil".

Wel, considering if I were to take up arms and attack the invaders, I would probably be the first one killed, I'd have to say I'd hide with anyone who wants to hide with me.

I'll let the people who know what they're doing handle this one, thankyouverymuch.

Well, it is my country (the USA) since I am one of "we the people", but it is more about what I am "trying to do" since it is my country.

Come on countrymen, wake up and smell the coffee......don't make me fetch a pail of water.

I'd give it to someone who wants a country, anything larger than a tribe is unmanagable.

heh. you're clowning.

If somebody attacks the U.S in force, I don't think our military would let us down. And you know I'd always support aggresive defense from foriegn invasion. But if the military was turned loose on us by someone destabalizing our structure internally...we'd be in trouble...weapons piling up here and there...new rivalries and factions forming. Old ones heating up again. People gathering, hording and defending everything of value. What would I do? I couldn't rightly say because it's hard to imagine.

Protect my family and others and try to appeal to others with rational solutions to the crisis. If americans suddenly had the rug pulled out, they would immedietly understand what had been lost. Then maybe people would find out the true meaning of freedom and pass it on for a for more generations until they can be lulled back to sleep and repeated. Wash rinse repeat. The men that got insanely rich off WWII, or lost their riches, are still kicking around. We're caught in the crossfire. All of us. Even Vic and Ape will end up victims after they enjoy being part of the 'winning team' for a short while. That's if it goes like it does in all tyrannys throughout history. Not that our gov't is currently. But the legislation is there. It's a suspended gavel. National emergency and anti-terror laws got it all lined up.

Anyone ever notice how often the neo-cons (can I call them neo-cons?) point out that we've had no more terrorist attacks? It's worded in such a way that implies imminent future attacks. It's a nice little conditioning tool. The trap is sprung and I can only brace myself and hope it blows over in the last moment after massive human cooperation. I know I reading into things a bit...
