Perhaps. As their status is similar to a Prisoner of war as a captured belligerent, the cessation of hostilities may lead to release.

Much will depend upon the actions of their comrades. At least as far as when hostilities may cease

Would that mean even the dangers ones, when our prime minister was bombed in her hotel in Brighton, even after he tried to blow her up, he got out once peace had been declared in Brittan with the Irish. Do people relies that this nutters get out when peace is declared. Dreamer

Well i had been thinking why the war had not ended yet. I thought once they fond Saddam that was it done and dusted war won capture of all leaders in history have end there wars. so why in this war in Iraq once they had the leader saddam why as it not finished the end of the war in Iraq.

Bush will be long gone and the suspected terorists will still be incarcerated in places like Gitmo. Many with no charges filed against them. The US government needs to decide who is worthy of charges and who is not, and separate the two so as to release those who were not engaged in terrorist activity and those who are real threats. Charges need to be based upon evidence and not suspicions.

I have no problem incarcerating terrorists who have been tried convicted and sentenced under the law. Otherwise, those who have not, should be released and flown back to their nation of origin.

These terrorists are different. They're fundamentalist nuts. The IRA guys were pretty much diffused when the cause they were fighting for ceased to be, but you can't exactly do away with Islam. No, if these guys were released back into the world they would just go back to causing meyhem.

SEE as i see it what happened in britain was the terrorist where sentenced by law but once the IRA and the British came to agreement on peace the prisoners where released even the bombers and nutters. Dreamer
