[rant]

man would i kill to be able to have a weekend where i didn't have to worry about all this damn schoolwork.. it's either working on some ridiculous problem set, or it's working on a case write-up, or in this weekend's fun - it's working on a 14 question take-home midterm. every fucking weekend is the same it seems.. accounting for bond premiums/discounts, capital leasing, etc., oh the fun.... i am soooo ready to be done with this shit. just gotta keep reminding myself that i only have 3 classes left to go. all the while, i have my new xbox calling my name, and my cats yelling at me to play with them. (and if i were to go and do a quick beer run, that'd totally destroy my motivation/concentration.)

Only three more classes? How cool. Not far from a new job where you can earn more for less work, the payoff for an advanced degree.

heh, as if i didn't have enough on my plate, i'm actually looking for a new job right now.. i haven't started applying to other openings yet, but i've been talking to my network and a couple of them need some help. i've gained a lot of experience over the past year, thanks to the contract/assignment that i've been working on. i figure i might as well cash in on it now, get some more experience over the course of this year - and then look for another job shortly after receiving my degree. i want those six figures dammit.

At this point Bishop, you are so close to break-out that you are beginning to question the relevance of it all.

Stand fast in this final push for academic freedom. Tell me - have you learned the secret of wealth yet? I have the "Wealth for Dummies" version - paperback of course. I'm sure your edition is a much more more polished signed hardcover addition.

it felt this way when i was just about done with my undergrad (which took 3 schools and 6 years to earn).. i've been in college for 9 years now.. heh, i'm ready to be done with this stuff. definitely don't know too much about wealth though - i'm sure other people here know better than me.. but, i do know about saving money and i've done very well with my investments. a good start at least...

now, i just need to finish this damn midterm... one of the things i hate the most with finance are bonds... they involve the most grueling calculations out of any investment tool.. and then doing bond accounting just makes things even less fun.

not wait because there is too much writing. I have to also worry
about work too, which is very stressful. There is NO free time

Christ I hate college. There has to be another way to make it in this world. I hate schoolwork; its all mindless and the same as high school. I donot want to work for some fucking corporation. I want to work for myself. I'm thinking of becoming a real estate agent. Anyone have any experience with that?
