My taste in music changes constantly but here's what I'm listening to now:

Nightwish (Finnish symphonic metal band)

Interpol

Damien Rice

Ray Allen (Mr Allen to his fans. My ex maths teacher who's surprisingly good on a guitar)

Rammstein (German "tanz metal" band)

Counting crows (not really modern anymore but good stuff all the same)

Hard fi

Lordi (I liked them before Eurovision. They've somewhat lost their appeal now)

Theatres Des Vampires

Regolith (local band)

Anal cunt (don't ask)

I don't really follow "NEW" music but i have a band/performer i suggest to people whenever i get the chance. It's older and non-typical, sounds kinda loungey ..anyways--

Gavin Friday (formerly of the Virgin Prunes)
Shag Tobacco (his best and easiest to obtain album)

I recommend it to all :)

I'm also really liking this canadian Performer named Leslie Fiest and i would recomend her album to those who are open to a 'folky' sound;
'Let It Die' Fiest (which is new)

you can hear a demo from both (although poor quality) HERE

Most of my favorites aren't modern:
I am a huge Fan of Psychobilly and old school Rockabilly so i would recomend alott of that stuff, Specifically--
The Meteors, Barnyard Ballers, The Cramps (not really psychobilly), Batmobile, Demented are Go!, Nekromantix, Reverend Horton Heat, Stray Cats (Rockabilly) ...to name a few
...And i like Risque Oldies, such as Doug Clark and the Hot Nuts, Coot Grant, Barney Biggard, Lucille Bogan, Hank Ballard ... something about the attitude just speaks to me, (in your face without in your face) and also Lucille Bogan was WILD she was singing explicit sexual lyrics in the 30's , when most others were still being discreet 20+ years later.

Music Is good.

I really don't know about all that weird stuff you guys is all listening to, but you can never go wrong with Damien Marley, Danger Doom, Gnarls Barkly, Matisyahu, Wu-Tang, and most importantly, Sizzla. Sizzla's the man.

Oh yeah

Can't forget Gift of Gab from Blackalicious. Saw him in concert, too. Good show.

I know porcupine tree, definately a great underrated band! Ive listened to stupid dream the most too, try up the downstairs, a great album as well.

I don't listen to very much modern music, only some local artists like Devin Beu and Logan Heftel.
I've got all their albums already. My favorate is probably Stupid Dream, or possibly the live album.

Society may be formed so as to exist without crime, without poverty, […] no obstacle whatsoever intervenes at this moment except ignorance to prevent such a state of society.

And there's a reason.

Place me like a seal over your heart, like a seal on your arm; for love is as strong as death, its jealousy unyielding as the grave. It burns like blazing fire, like a mighty flame. -- Song 8:6

tool's ok

never heard of the other ones

what are they gonna do when the lights go down?
Without you to guide them all to Zion?
What are they gonna do when the rivers overrun?
Other than tremble incessantly
