I hear some good stuff happened with the Platform though. Pre-convention, I voted on some of the proposals that the Reform Caucus introduced. I've been kind of pessimistic about politics lately so I've been avoiding other activists, lest my negativity spread to them. I've been going through some kind of depression, and just started taking an SSRI. I got offered a job as the Youth Coordinator for the Bruce Guthrie for Senate Campaign, but I had to tell his campaign that I just wasn't up to it. I used to be absurdly energetic and motivated/ing, but not at all the last 6 months or so. "A republic, if you can keep it." -- Benjamin Franklin Free State Project freestateproject.org |

I thought that vacation would break me of it, but walking back in the door, brought all the cold hard reality right back to front and center. Sure makes the backwoods look much more enticing. I think part of it is I am reading Ayn Rands "Atlas Shrugged" currently, and while I find it well written and an enjoyable read overall, there are personalities in that book that I see every day, and it really pisses me off because in the book so far, they haven't gotten theirs. ![]() Everytime I get worked up about politics, I just look at the AK and the supplies, and put my mind at ease. I have been keeping up on my e-mail updates from the NLP and the Ohio LP, as well as a couple other political newsletters.
