Bummer! Might be you are like me and exposure to the sun activates them? I always get them when I go to the beach. My doc gave me a prescription for Zovirax 5% ointment (Acyclovir) I sometimes use Viractin to relieve the pain and itching. The last time I used Preparation H anti itch cream with hydrocortisone 1%. (yes, it's for hemroids) The PH seemed to help clear them up within two days. (might have been a combination of the three meds?)
