ocean just adds moisture to your nasal cavity.. it's good for someone like me who lives in a really dry apartment (forced hot air kills all the moisture in the winter - causing me to get all sorts of nosebleeds). it won't do anything to help with allergies and the congestion caused by allergies.
both flonase and zyrtec are prescription, but if you have medical benefits it shouldn't be a problem to persuade the doc to get you some. (as long as you don't mind the hassle of having to go to the doctor.) flonase does a very good job of alleviating the sinus pressure, by slowly breaking up all the shit in your head. it also doesn't have any side-effects. zyrtec pretty much does the same, except you get drowsiness as a side-effect. i take it when i really need it, because it clears up every allergic reaction i ever get.
(and, i used to have to get injections twice a week when i was in elementary school because my allergies were so bad. i'm allergic to lots of different types of grass and trees - unfortunately the most common ones.)
i'd try taking claritin if you don't feel like going to the doctor, although claritin sucks imo..
