Rooney's a hothead. I like that he publicly declared he would "split Cristiano Ronaldo in two." Of course he's still pissed off he was red-carded out of the World Cup match when England was disgracefully eliminated by Portugal.

But then you can't judge a book by its cover. Right?

Sorry guys, sometimes I forget that "soccer" is barely on the radar in the US. (Which makes it even more of an insult that Beckham defected to LA).

Couldn't agree more, G. Carlos Ronaldo is a little punk-ass bitch. Remember in the semi-finals against Holland, when both teams got about 85,000 cards and he left the game crying like a little girl over a charlie horse?

It's always the smallest dogs that are wiliest. We had a dachshund. He fought coyotes, Great Danes; got run over by a motorcycle, pickup truck. Still lived to almost 20.

These guys are called Pekingese, right? They're still the #1 most popular dog here in Beijing* - the owners here love to put little hand-embroidered sweaters on them in the winter. Beijing's a dirty city, as you can imagine. So they end up looking like little half-black dust mops running around in dirty sweaters, like a bunch of canine Freds from that chimney-sweep scene in Mary Poppins.

*Chinese law forbids owning a dog that's over 35 inches high, and your dog can be seized and exterminated for violating this restriction.
