I once had to work with a first run Okidata printer. The user manual had been produced by native Japanese speakers who didn't see all the fluent in English. As I remember it, when we had to refer to the user manual we found something like the following:

We threw the instruction book in the trash and rebooted the printer. It was a really great printer in its day. It only took that once to understand that the answer to any problem was to reboot without reading the user manual.

Both in Russian and English you say "the statement". As you read it, you immediately assume the world is busy with nothing, but the attempt to tell you the truth. The situation is quite opposite, but the word doesn't reflect it
