| Merry Christmas, Volconvo! Hey, how about Christmas? I know, that this is not a housewives’ forum, but one thread wouldn’t be out of place! Post your Christmas trees, decorations photos, and just your thoughts about this great night. Asking secularists - no debates here, please, it’s just festive topic. This year I’ll go to my parents to another city on Christmas and New Year, so I didn’t see my tree yet and I’ll post a funny Xmas web-tree - World Christmas Tree. Thinking, it’s quite nice idea, especially if it’ll be at least half-filled. Unfortunately, it’s loading rather slow : ( |

| Yeah, Bah Humbug, simple. This isn't a housewives' forum. ![]() I'll be going to my useless brother-in-law's place to pass the time with him and his sinister wife and her ultra-bourgeois parents. Jeez. Well, at least they have two sweet little kids, so that's some compensation. Then we'll be going to my parents-in-law, where Arthur and I will knock back the vintage while the two females rattle along a mile a minute in Italian. Otherwise I will be -- as all year round -- a fount of good cheer and Christian fraternity. "I wish I was as cocksure of anything as Tom Macaulay is of everything." -- Viscount Melbourne |

| I used to be a housewife~ Bah humbug indeed! There's a road trip in my very near future to pick up my oldest son from the Army. He'll be home for two weeks. :) One of my favorite sisters- in-law and her three sons from will stop for a visit on her way down to visit her parents in Florida. My oldest and I typically donate blood together since the holidays are often the time of biggest need. We'll see if the middle son wants to join us. Other than that, I've made no real plans beyond being with family and friends and making memories. Not sure if the picking out of a tree and visiting their dad's grave is something my three sons want to do with or without my company? The tree could be a fun adventure either way, but they may want their privacy at the cemetery? Their ex coach's team has an ice hockey game we'll probably go to, then dinner afterwards. We may take in a movie on xmas day? (something we've never done before) Xmas eve we go to my parents to celebrate. Xmas day we celebrate at my home. We all love to cook and the boys sure can eat, so I'm sure the kitchen will be where the action's at. If I'm the only witness to your madness offer me some words to balance out what I see and what I hear. 10,000 Maniacs |

| I have Christmas week off and my daughter comes in from Cal Berkeley for a month's stay at home which will probably be the highlight of my holiday. Other than that, family get togethers will probably be a bit muted as things aren't quite right (yet) in my marriage athough we are getting closer to resolution as time goes on. | The longer a river flows and the deeper it cuts into the earth, the more difficult it is to ever reroute. I would compare you to the Grand Canyon at this point in your life. “The heart has its reason which reason does not know.” - Blaise Pascal |

![]() ps. sorry for being a tad acerbic - I had to think of something quickly because I'm about to die of hypothermia, and probably wanted to settle old scores first... wink. | |

| Then I probably shouldn't rub in the fact that my outdoor weather is t-shirt comfortable unless you are walking too briskly, then you will break a slight sweat. *wink back* “The heart has its reason which reason does not know.” - Blaise Pascal |

| Yes but I'll be making a trip to some local mountains weekend after this and get my fill of snow, cold, wet socks, hot drinks and the like. I'll toast you back at that time. Then, I'll return to my desert oasis to work on my tan. “The heart has its reason which reason does not know.” - Blaise Pascal |
