You have given me no challenge to defend other than to counter with my opinion that the paper on a whole is logically sound and reliable for law makers to base decisions on.

If you can't pick apart even a single point in the paper, I'll assume you have no arguments against any points, hence, no argument against the whole.
Even though this wasn't directed at me...I'll comply...

the ' paper ' #cough# #ack# is from Narth...a website that believes homosexuality is a ' mental problem '...highly prejudiced with a specific anti-homo agenda...

that ' claims ' it's existence is to help people who do not want to be gay get straight. That homosexuality is not biological but ' mental ' and can be treated.

Can you pick a more biased site...the paper isn't even worth my time to read.

Sorry, nope. Found no articles. No doubt you've merely read the bull posted by other Christians attempting to spread lies to support their agenda.
Homosexuality is an social anomaly. I am not arguing from a Christian perspective at all, but I do agree with them w/t homosexuality. We were better off when homosexuals locked themselves in the closet.

You forgot - and committed suicide from the depression of having to live a lie-. If you're going to be a Colbert you need to learn to finish your sarcasm correctly.

You'd need a pretty big closet to hold all of America's estimated 10 million gays.

And would you let them out occasionally to practice being doctors, dentists, scientists, manual workers, teachers, business tycoons, plumbers, firemen, policemen and women, entertainers and bus-drivers?

If not - be prepared for a sharp drop in your quality of life.

Its all too easy to forget what a vast contribution gays make to the American way of life and economy, both as tax-payers who help pay to educate other people's children and as hard-working members of every single profession you can think of.

I suggest you try thinking through your glib remarks occasionally, just to see how ridiculous they are when held up to reality - besides, closets are suffocating places.

First off, I have no idea who Colbert is, but I think he's a TV personality, right?

As for the "committed suicide from the depression of having the live a lie" means nada to me. But I can tell you that the suicide rate of homosexuals is higher than that of a person who enjoys normal sex. The stat for the life span of the average homo used to be 42, but that's an old number, and may reflect AIDS deaths prior to the rather effective medications for it.

Also I think the early death of many homosexuals may have to do with their unhealthy life style. The bar life, the smoking; drinking, etc, not to mention the icky sex, which is unhealthy.

It's not that the gay lifestyle (if we must use stereotypes) is unhealthier than the average - Just being born in America commits you to a grossly unhealthy lifestyle, unless you make a determined effort to avoid it.

It's no accident that the US has by far the biggest problem with obesity on the planet - and you talk of gays as being unhealthy?

Talk of being selective with your information...

Well I certainly can't argue the fact that Americans are too fat, but so are the Germans. I cannot argue that the American diet is, or can be, unhealthy, but that doesn't make homosexuality clean or healthy.

Nor can I argue that our society is perfect, but I will argue that we'd be better off if we were less encouraging of homosexuality.

It's hilarious, in a way. I thought I'd managed to avoid the last of the old prejudices and hatreds. I managed to avoid the racists, most of the sexists and some of the anti-[insert country here] hatreds, but I was really unaware of the prevalence of the anti-gay hatred.

In the 1960s, many people in my neck of the woods considered inter-racial marriage as unnatural and abhorrent as you consider gay marriage. We see who won in the end. Your views will perish with the march of secularism. And thank God for it.

It's comforting to think that if an intelligent young man such as yourself represents the voice of secularism, AC - the future looks a lot brighter already.

How many times do I have to say that I DO NOT HATE HOMOSEXUALS.

What I dislike is homosexuality and for many reasons, all good.

Nor am I prejudice. Homosexual behavior is both unhealthy and unnatural; no prejudice about it. It's like eating rotten fish. One does not do that because they stink and are unhealthy to eat. One should not practice homosexuality for the same reasons.

You just can't get over the fact that I am against homosexual behavior but do not hate homosexuals. Rather I pity them; just look at what they are missing; poor guys.

I'm hoping that as PCism and Liberalism wains that we will be more adamat (sp?) that homosexuality is not to be encouraged or taught as being normal and healthy.
