Situations like that are tests. Life lessons if you will.

For the religious, that entire situation could have been god's way of testing to determine if a person can follow his commandments. No stealing, turning the other cheek, giving up material posessions, and so forth. Don't you have to be "christ like" to get into heaven?

For the non religious, the lesson was how to deal with a less than trustworthy person. If you settled for working under the table instead of insisting this person be above board, then you got what you deserved. To be cheated. The moral of the story is, don't compromise your intregrity. Choose to deal with only those you can trust in the future.

That you may retain your self-respect, it is better to displease the people by doing what you know is right, than to temporarily please them by doing what you know is wrong.

but you don't even believe in hell.
Obviously I don't.
You do.

Do you even realise the hypocrasy that you are spewing?

Homosexuals are sick and evil because of one comment in the old testament.

Yet you are allowed to directly, and proudly, disobey a commandment. Because someone ripped you off?

So homosexuals are expected to live their life without sexual satisfaction, because of a phrase.
But you are allowed to disobey a commandment because someone didn't give you a promised pay rise after a few months?

You weren't in the situation, so you have no idea.

No, just be a good person. I don't think Jesus will deny me entry for that, he got what he deserved.

You do.
So what, you don't have any right to tell me to be careful of something you don't even believe in.

First of all, I was addressing the OP. Not you. If you need to seek justification for what you did, take it up with your conscience, not me. I've already formed my opinion.
I've had far worse situations happen than that and I didn't retaliate. In the end it all worked out. Justice was served.
Where you go when you die doesn't register on my list of cares. <shrug>

I'm not telling you to be careful.

I'm saying that your a hypocrit, for judging so many other members on this forum, by a set of rules that you don't even follow yourself.
