![]() Aristotle Location: Chicago, IL Posts: 4,571 | Finals Suck! Especially when its for Law School. The whole class is decided by one grade, the final, that's it. So you spend countless hours reviewing stuff over and over again until you head blow. For finals I am using 7 days of vacation and sick time at work. That BLOWS! I had Bulls tickets for tonight and I had to turn them down. Have to miss my buddy's Christmas party. Its a great time. Why the hell is he having it on the 16th? Back to my initial thought Final Suck! |

![]() Zolbuj Location: California Posts: 1,267 | Ugh, I'm not having to deal with anything nearly as bad as law school, but I'm still getting my ass kicked with finals right now. Aside from Christmas being a stressful holiday, they've gotta add something as stressful as finals on top of it. Damn, and it freaks me out that things will only get worse from here. ![]() The Cake is a lie... Location: St. Louis Posts: 2,360 | I have 6 Finals over the next 2 weeks. 2 long term papers (One on the effects of Antisocial Personality Disorder and Primary Psychopathy on Unreported Crime that I'm about 8 pages into so far). I have a belt test for Judo on Thursday. All of this was interspersed with preparing for and taking my LSAT's this past Saturday. I concur. Finals suck but they also blow... hard! Hope you took the prep courses such as from Kaplan. Trust they help big time. Not too scare you, but you only really get one shot. Yep you can take it a second or third time, but law schools take the average of your scores. So you have to do really really well to get your second go around, if you did poor your first attempt. If you haven't taken any prep course I would advise putting off the LSAT until you do. Trust they will add value points to your score. | |

Most of my classes are final only, but the profs aren't out to get you or anything. Plus my school doesn't have class rank so we all share notes and outlines and study together. I have 4 finals this semester and I'm not stressed at all. "But it wasn't until he met his beautiful wife that he learned using logic and reason isn't enough. Again, I think it's your law school that sucks, no offense... I have two more finals (monday and tuesday) and I feel completely prepared for them just from what has gone on in class. My studying consists mainly of organizing my notes and consulting with my peers regarding the jibe we plan to take during the test. ![]() The Cake is a lie... Location: St. Louis Posts: 2,360 | That also applies to the professors. I just got done with all of my semester papers/projects and come to find out that 90% of my professors have decided to assign papers instead of actual tests for the finals. So that's like 4-5 more papers I have to finish by like the week before finals. It's aggravating. I graduate in a few weeks and they keep assigning new assignments like I have time for any of this nonsense. What makes a man turn neutral? Lust for gold? Power? ![]() Juris Doctor Location: Brockport, NY Posts: 2,166 | 2 more weeks... ![]() And I only have 2 finals this semester. My other 2 classes are papers. Can anyone say "3L"? ![]() Juris Doctor Location: Brockport, NY Posts: 2,166 | Huh... one of my finals is an 8-hour takeout. Pick up in the morning, drop off by COB at the Registrar's office, go wherever you want to take the final. The other one is a 5 hour open book open notes essay final. Then I have a document analysis for my IRC s.42 class, and I just turned in a draft complaint and memo for my Environmental Advocacy class. ![]() Erudite Location: England Posts: 133 | I have all of my GCSE finals within the next two months, and everybody except my teachers seem to think that I'm unduly relaxed about them. I mean, shit, I'm helping to direct a play during them, and haven't done any revision. They're not that bad, though I do hope AS/A-levels will be more of a challenge. When the time comes, that no more can be said, say no more. |
