    Volconvo chat

    With your host, Mia

Sometimes we just like to chitty-chat with no defined topic. I am being kept awake partly by pain, and partly by pain pills. I'm bored and don't have the brain for the tough topics right now.

Who's up, what's going on in your world?

    Hey,
    I'm up for this.

I worked out today that my government is effectively blackmailing us.
With our whitepages, if we don't want our gov. to give our phone numbers to corporations we have to pay a fee a year to not be listed.
Unless we pay, our number's up there for all to see and all to harass us at dinner time.
Almost corrupt as the US Fed being independently run by banks.

Don't be afraid to comment either, I not only condone it I encourage it!

I have finals coming up next Monday so my time has been devoted to NOT tanking my GPA in the first quarter of senior year.

How about some kind of real-time reminder that chat is open? Half the time I don't know what day of the month it is, and I miss it.
I upped my income, up yours.

I actually don't like true, live chat. I'm too old, I guess. I like chat THREADs, but not trying to keep up with 4 people posting at once.

What's up in your world, Zee?

Here we pay $60/year to keep out of the phone book, Enlightenee,,,,,,they say it costs them to go to the trouble of removing our data.

Really makes me mad! But I don't want to be listed, so there's not much I can do,,,,,,

    How are you, Mad?

I've just been ripping a few phone books in half to stay in shape. Then I put out plastic sheeting to keep the rain off the rhubarb. Then, when Fido finally stopped whining, I turned off the ball game since I always turn it off just before the exciting part (as last night when I just missed the Indians' eleventh-hour spurt). The I let Fido out for a pee. Then I copied the pulled-pork recipe onto the back of an old creamery invoice pad. Then I finished the dishes that had been soaking in the sink. Then I let Fido back in again. Then I checked my e-mails. Then I went onto Volconvo.

    So Bob's your uncle.

I'm thinking of taking a few pain pills myself for these muscle spasms in my back. Last five days spent driving an unfamiliar pick-up sure haven't helped. If only I could get that heating pad to work.

Got a Gmail account? Enter the chat days into the calendar and have it send you an email reminder. You could do much the same with Remember the Milk, an online to-do list.

Gmail has that functionality? I did not know this.
What makes a man turn neutral? Lust for gold? Power? Or were you just born with a heart full of neutrality?

You still have to remember to check your e-mail, though.

Well, then you can get a popup email notifier that either opens a window in your browser or on your desktop from the taskbar that lets you know when new mail arrives. Funnel all your email through Outlook, it'll let you know when you have new email.

Of course you have to remember to turn on your computer.

Can't help you there, even with WOL enable. We're on different networks.
