Ban Helio for repeating himself. And because that's strictly not true. I grew up in a small, blue collar farming community (my dad is an industrial worker and has to commute a long way to get to work) although I never "went country" like so many of the girls around me. I was always a nerd in school: preppy's anathema. And then I moved to the city to go to college (on scholarship), where I frequent Asian supermarkets, Goodwill stores, alternative concerts, art museums, little hole-in-the-wall Vietnamese restaurants, and, on occasion, Hot Topic. I have my own style. And I have always resented preppies. I used to get oppressed by them all the time in school.

Ban phoenix because I'm glad its not true

I wonder if my icon brings offence now. I feel around campus people I don't know and never have spoken to sometimes sneer, or frown because I wear a brand that clashes with their style.

I feel I'm guilty of the same. After watching the hills anytime I see a young girl in any car over 40K I find myself instantly assuming shes a preppy spoiled daddys girl. I annoy myself that I make such instant judgements without thinking.

I dress by personal style. I wear a track jacket because its big, white, and warm. I don't wear it for the stereotype it brings.
