Argh... Gender Genie hates me...

So I saw this "Gender Genie" thing in another thread, and I thought I would pull up an old blog entry.
The Gender Genie
this is what I wrote.

Quote:
If I had to think about it, I would have never considered buying the Sunfire. It's small, not very attractive really, and to be honest as much fun as I have with a stick, it has turned out to be more problematic then I should have thought. I would like a PT Cruiser instead. Reliable, roomy and safe. That would be my next vehicle if I can so arrange for it. It's not so much for myself as for her, she cannot drive a stick, where as I can. Nothing is more boring to me then an automate.
So what did I get from this stupid web site????

Yeah, you cut and pasted it didn't you? Bastards, laugh now, I'll kill you later.

Einstein's "Theory of Relativity" is still being challenged to this day, but by consensus Global Warming is a fact... that's REAL science at work, why didn't Albert just go that route?

Maybe you should try something with more than 500 words as it suggests.

It seems to have me pegged fairly well. I tried a short memoir I wrote.

Phew! I AM a man.

I used my writing sample for a grad school app. Apparently, I use the word "with" a lot, which makes me a woman. But I also use the words "around" and "the" a lot, which make me a man.

Huh?

Anyway, I tried it with some blog entries and I was still a man every time.

Interesting. Maybe we should try it on pam669 and tinybear to see if (as some have surmised) they are actually men.

Of course, their posts are all around 10 words each.

There I go, using "around" again. Such a man.

I don't normally bother to write that much, I'll look into it.

I'm guessing from tinybear's posting in the Finest Men of All Time Thread that tinybear is a girl. But I could be wrong, my gaydar doesn't work very well online sometimes.

I put in five pieces of my writing: two Volconvo posts, two university essays, and one piece of prose.

My results:

From the first Volconvo post, I am only just female.
From the second, I am extremely manly.
From the first essay, I am only just a man.
From the second essay, I am quite highly female.
From the prose, I am only just male.

My conclusion: the test is utter nonsense.

What, you won't even consider the possibility of multiple personalities?

People write with emotion sometimes, and without sometimes, and some often type with words they wouldn't normally use in speech.

I haven't tried it yet, but was amused at Bacons results.

I usually come up as a man. Between my apparently masculine writing style and my use of male avatars, I suppose I should not wonder at the fact that I am repeatedly mistaken for a man.

Don't forget to mention the Tarantino-esque violence of your sig.

Yeah. My taste in anime and media in general probably doesn't help.
