Why no avatars, buddy?
Avatars are an excellent way to identify each other on the forum. It also will add a little spice to the page!

I agree. I'm loving the simplicty of the page. I'm a fan of white/black/red. Very trendy. But Avatars and Signatures would be great to have.

er... you CAN have a signature, just go to "My Controls" and you can edit it.

I agree, avatars are a nice addition.

Perhaps you don't want to waste space having people upload their avatars to your server? You can make them off-site only, you know.

yeah i thought that was the problem there... i think he didnt want to waste bandwidth and thus he didnt implement avators... however i think you should just have people remote link them.

also if we do have avators you should make everyone have one the same size as one another like 60x60 pixels or 50x50 pixels... nothing to big...

Remote linking for avatars wouldnt be a problem. If anyone needs web space, head over to "www.lycos.co.uk" 50mb free space and remote linking is no problem with them. BRING US AVATARS!!!!

and I agree with the uniform size for all avatars.

Also noticed a "PHOTO" column in the members section and inthe Help section. Are you planning to implement this as well? Because like the avatars, we could rely on remote linking as well.

huh.

well, the image you have in your signature was traced through Houston, San Antonio, and Austin texas.

I guess it's hosted in one of those cities.

EV1 is an internet provider in Houston, and your trace went through it.

alright..I'll set up remotely hosted avatars tonight...although I wanted to avoid it to keep the site a little bit profess...but if you guys want them I don't mind.

oh look at HTMLForums!

they have smileys of guys cutting each other open with chainsaws, and i still consider them proffessional!

It will still look very professional, if the avatars are appropriate then they will only add to the site's appeal.
