| Open the cages! Posts: 1,779 | I think the government is preparing for an outbreak. In recent days I have been seeing these popping up on the walls in federal buildings. Perhaps the citizenry should follow suite and purchase their own for their homes and private businesses. ![]() "FREE ME", song video by Goldfinger "Nothing will benefit human health and increase chances for survival of life on Earth as much as the evolution to a vegetarian diet." --Albert Einstein |

![]() Hot Lava Location: Beijing Posts: 2,414 | I've finally read through all the posts, and I have to say I'm a bit disappointed that we're only looking at open, military solutions against zombies. We're talking about a relentless enemy hundreds of columns by hundreds of rows deep, each organism possessing neither the sensation of pain nor the impulse to relent under any circumstances. A direct confrontation would be a hopeless option. We need to think like the enemy, understand his methods so we can win the psychological zombie war. According to Max Brooks' Zombie Survival Guide, the undead have extremely keen senses. Let's exploit that. Super-hearing? Let's use remote-controlled car stereos to mask the sounds of our movement. Super-olfaction? Let's cover ourselves in rotten meat to cover up our scent. Let's get creative here, people. We're never going to make it to that boat alive if we don't use our heads. One other thing: there's got to be a way we can incite the zombies to attack each other. Any ideas, people? | Open the cages! Posts: 1,779 | Fushigi, I think you are on to something and thinking outside the box on this zombie menace facing us. But, I have to ask you, and am quite suspicious of you, that since you live and work in China with high connections to the government, are the Chinese the one`s working on secretly developing a zombie virus as a weapon? Did you see my posts on the Chinese testing of mind control over pigeons? I think the Chinese are at the root of the zombie outbreak. Can you verify that or do you categorically deny it? I would expect a mouthpiece of the Chinese to deny it. hehehehe. Last summer I was hard up for cash, so I taught some summer courses at a private language school. I was trying to teach the students critical thinking (which I found was something like trying to explain geodesic domes to 2-dimensional organisms). One day we got onto the topic of technology, so I decided to give them group projects. The topic was "What new device does the world need now?" The main focus was to have them create a device, pitch it to the class, then respond to the class's concerns about safety and other potential negative effects on people or the planet. You'll be shocked to see what they came up with. One group came up with a miniature camera you embed in your children to record their every action. Another came up with a device that finds terrorists through a "thought scanner." But another - this one's my favorite - came up with "The Environmental Friend." What's the environmental friend? A chip implanted into every citizen's brain that has the power of mind control. Once the chip is implanted, the implantee will find himself unable to perform any action that could possibly harm the environment. When you try to litter, spit, or pour toxic waste into a river, the chip activates, neutralizing your brain and preventing cognitive response. So I was listening to this, sitting in my chair trying my best not to look horrified, but whatever I did, I couldn't keep my jaw from continually going agape. I thought to myself, "I can't wait to hear what the class has to say in response to this." But when the group finished, you know what question was asked? "I know this 'environmental friend' sounds like a good idea but..." pregnant pause, "how much is this chip going to cost?" Does that answer your question about whether the Chinese would develop zombie technology? I`ve always liked Biohazard II. Never saw 1 but I am guessing it was as good as II, if not better. "FREE ME", song video by Goldfinger "Nothing will benefit human health and increase chances for survival of life on Earth as much as the evolution to a vegetarian diet." --Albert Einstein | |
