| Skeptical Patriot Posts: 7,797 | Actually, Perez Prado did BOTH "Mambo #5" and "Mambo #8" (I wasn't sure about #8 until I looked it up) in the late 50's. Of course someone else may have done the version you heard. Lou Bega did a cover of #5 a few years ago. Not a day goes by that I don't see something that reinforces my belief that people are idiots. |

And this one I came across was funny as hell - its got a slight adult theme but its a political song and I think most people on here would enjoy it. (language warning) Laura Bush's Eyes.mp3 |

| The dingos! Posts: 4,526 | 1. We Didn't Start the Fire - Billy Joel 2. His Eye Is on the Sparrow* - Lauryn Hill 3. Going Under - Evanescence 4. The Trooper - Iron Maiden 5. Dancing in the Streets - Martha and the Vandellas 6. Sweet Sacrifice - Evanescence *Look on youtube, keyword "eye sparrow" for an *AMAZING* harmony performance of this song. It should be the first choice. It's unprofessional, but it's really gospell-y :) Mmmk, I think that encompasses them all :) |

| Igneous Magma Posts: 248 | Ah, great stuff up so far. Here's a well rounded selection of some of the songs on my mind. Acoustic/Indie-Jazz?/Americana? Jim Bianco - The Best That You Can Do Various Metals In Flames - Only For The Weak (Lol. I find it amusing watching some of their original big hits. Been listening to these guys for years. STill love the song. More of the "aging" feel to the video) In Flames - The Quiet Place (something from the last album) Otep - Ghostflowers Rock Stone Sour - Through Glass Nonpoint - In The Air Tonight (Cover of Phil Collins) Incubus - Anna Molly Comedy Brian Posehn - Metal By Numbers ...hrm. That's what this week has been pulling out for me. |

| Volcanic Erupter Posts: 8,922 | It is no doubt pointless to list the song I like the best because most of you are interested in the 1980s or later stuff. But what the heck, I got time on my hands, I will start off with the most recent song I like. Rocky - You Don't Love Me Yet. Sex Pistals - I did it my way. Mamas & Papas - Safe In My Garden, ? - Who let the dogs out, Greatful Dead - Box of Rain. Black Sabbeth - Chldren of the grave. Bob Seeger - Old time rock and roll. America - Sandman & Horse with no name. Donovan - Catch The Wind. Dead Kenndys - My Bio-beach. Patti Smith - Horses. Talking Heads - (three of their songs) Crows - Mambo Rock. David Peel - We're from the Eastside. Charles Manson - Garbage Pickers of America Buffilo Springfield - What's that sound. Velvet Undergound - Waiting for the man. Now for the good stuff - those oldies but goodie. The Five Keys - My Saddest Hour. Bill Haley - Rock around the clock Big Mama Thronton - Ball and Chain. Elmore James - Dust My Broom. Little Richard - The girl can't help it. Little Willie John - Fever. Johnny Guitar Watson - Gangster of love. Five Satins - In the still of the night, And all of the thousands of other 1950s oldies but goodies,. Artists and groups that have a bunch of good songs. CCR. Cream. Paul Simon. Beatles and Stones. Carl Perkins Robins or Coasters Clyde Mcphatter and the Drifters. Joe Turner. Ray Charles. BB King. Bob Dylan. Big Sandy. Grandpa Jones. Fats Domino. Professor Longhair. Jerry Lee Lewis. Temptations. to name a few. One record that has been selling for years and years and remains one of the largest selling songs is White Christmas by Bing Crosby ( but it is not one of my favorits) - |
