| 9/11: Inside Job  Location: Hawai'i, Big Island Posts: 10,446 | It's a Good Life No. this isn't a thread for pollyanna paeans to how great it is to live in the Twenty-First Century with access to computers, food and lots of entertainment... This thread is based on the Twilight Zone episode that aired forty-five years ago, with the title I have chosen for the thread: Quote:

But that isn't an acceptable theme for a thread now is it? So let's just wish them away like Anthony does. :eek: Let me start with one to get us going here... I select Porter Goss.  He's currently the CIA Director of the United States. Now, I am no fan of the CIA, but in a tough world, I suppose there is a need for this type of Federal agency. But Goss is a political appointee, intalled to cover BushCo crimes and deflect whistleblowers. He co-sponsored the USAPATRIOT Act, which I consider the most despicable legislation to emanate from Washington in my memory that extends back a half-century. He was the co-chair of the Joint 9/11 Intelligence Inquiry, in which Congress covered up the events of September 11th. Here's a bit more about this guy I would like to have wandering the cornfield forever. Quote:

Another half-million were gassed and injured but didn't die. Who was luckier? When he was wanted for questioning by our friends, the Indians, he fled to America and has never stood to answer for his crimes in court. He was the subject of an extradition request in 2003. He hasn't been delivered yet. Can you say class warfare? Does this justify a snatch operation like the Israelis pulled on Eichmann in Argentina? You tell me... But my next victim is the "journalist" whose acquaintance with the neo-cons is a scurrilous excuse for his politics of tyranny and empire. I am referring to Michael Ledeen:  A major figure in Iran-Contra, in which the US clandestinely sold rockets to the ayatollahs in exchange for releasing hostages. He also is a founding member of JINSA which treasonously favors Israel over US interests. Furthermore it is alleged that he was involved with Licio Gelli and P2, which he denies, but he is definitely a closet fascist. Resident scholar of the American Enterprise Institute, a right-wing think tank. Likely he was involved with the Niger yellowcake forgery black propaganda op.
