Ammo prices have been on the rise for a while due to very high demand. Suppliers are only too happy to charge all that the market will bear, and the market will bear quite a lot due to general paranoia and the belief that Obama is coming for you any day now.

This isn't really a debate, just a complaint. He's a professional computer guru. And though he is still quite young, he suffers from an aggressive from of Parkinson's disease.

Sleeping late led to a long ever changing dream. A few highlights:

* A coworker suggested we go to present day web-design conference set in the 19th century Appalachian mountains…time travel I guess.

* A white puppy that could talk , and bark under water.

* A friend left his webdesign job for the CIA

* An 1800's Appalachian town happily living though divided one group super modest, the other all naked.

* At one point I transformed into another coworker with British accent and all where I ended up trapped with my cellphone in an avalanche I cause while searching for gold.

* Jesus personally answered a prayer sent while trapped in that avalanche via text message. His cell phone number was the IP address 10.0.0.7.

Okay, i believe that aliens have a way to connect your mind to electronics. This has been applied on earth to some degree, but with the aliens the interface is with a 'computer personality.' This personality is a mixture of magic and electronics. don't ask me how i know this, let's say they abducted me, okay?

Now, to give a computer a mind that we can communicate with 'telepathically,' we need to have a sensory system, that detects incoming mental notions sent to it, and sends out responses. this would be like a two way wifi, or radio signal. In my "magic explained" thread, i supposed a notion where we send messages to sylphs through our cell phones, by making the last numbers of the to call spelling out the word sylphs. If that works, we have our sending completed.

Now, to return messages to us, we need to have a random letter generator set up to intercept the incoming message, which will be set up to randomly send us 'letters' that we can decipher. this is the first step to having a cool new computer!

So, we need to set the computer up to intecept, react to, then send out these messages to us. - Nail trimming:
Scientific research has shown that failure to cut the nail and prolong the cause of the accumulation of germs and dirt under it, and therefore cause infections and odors. The bacteria accumulated under the nails grow and multiply rapidly because of the conditions for it, then move to inside the human body during the food. Thus, the Prophet forbade mercy peace be upon him for prolonging the nails because of the resulting pollution and poisoning, and if prolonged may lead to a lot of inflammation in the ends of the fingers and cracks due to bleeding and trauma injuries.

It means removing the hair from around the masculine User In other words, shaving pubic hair, a delegate to the male and female and if so, for the Holy Prophet peace be upon him. Has been scientifically proven that this region accumulated sweat and secretions of the skin significantly and are prone to dirt contamination because of its proximity to the place of front and back passages. The neglect of shave pubic hair will help lead to hair abundance in this region and thus find germs and fungi fertile ground to grow it.
This leads to infection of many chronic skin diseases. Thus, the process of removing hair from this area are cleared continuously, and become easier to remove when washing and microbes.

For the reasons the former, we find that the area under the armpits where hair grows and increases sweating and secretions of the fat, the fungi and bacteria find a suitable place to live. Thus removing the hair from the underarms means to remove these bacteria remains pure, clean body.

This should be a great talk on every believer to take it and apply it in his life. The scientifically proven benefits that accrue to the believer's application of the teachings of the Holy Prophet. Now, to enumerate some of the medical benefits of all that came in the Hadith.

As @Yarn as shown in Mondragon: A Successful 70 year old $20 billion Worker-run Corporation, the cooperative business model can result in successful enterprises. Mondragon is just one example of the cooperative management model providing billions of people with goods, services, and/or employment.

What is a cooperative for purposes of this thread?

I've done some very limited research and have not been able to find a social media site or a forum based on the cooperative ownership model. That doesn't mean there aren't any, only that I have found any. There are non-profit sites, for sure. But, they seem to be owned and controlled by founding individuals and groups of trusted colleagues. Many seem to be doing wonderful and important work, providing crucial and valuable goods or services. Sites like Drupal.org come to mind.

When I visit, Reddit, Facebook, or Twitter--the leading social media sites--I find ownership is corporate and the sites are intended to serve the interests of shareholders, not users. The users have little or no control over the sites. Their contributions, which make the sites viable, are not compensated. And, their private information and contributions are often exploited to enrich shareholders.

It seems that social media sites might be "a natural" for an organizational structure using the cooperative model. It is interesting to contemplate about what Twitter, Facebook, and Reddit and might be if they were owned and operated by their members with management and moderators elected by members.

Of course, whether a corporation or cooperative, founders, business plans, and start up capital is required, and, of course, sound management. As well, like corporations, cooperatives fail. However, according to the Canadian Cooperative Association, "The survival rate of co-ops is higher than that of traditional businesses. A 2008 study in Quebec found that 62 per cent of new co-ops are still operating after five years, compared with 35 per cent for other new businesses. After 10 years, the figures are 44 per cent and 20 per cent respectively."

In world of social media, too, success and failure are ever present. Yes, there is Facebook, but once there was Myspace, now greatly diminished.

Business interests aside, however, I wonder if user ownership and management would make for better social media sites or forums?
