Take Out The Trash

1 Peter 5:7 - Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.- 1 Peter was written by the Apostle Peter, one of Christ's original disciples to Christians in the northern provinces of Asia Minor to encourage them during a persecution. In 5:7 Peter invites them to "take out the trash" by putting ALL their troubles, concerns and worries on Jesus Christ and letting him take care of them. And it's no different today. We all have "trash" we'd like to get rid of, and Jesus will give us guidance concerning it. Our problems may still be with us, but we will see them completely differently. Peter also tells us that Christ cares for us, and he showed this to people many times when he was with them. I think his greatest demonstration of caring came when he willingly went to the cross to pay for the sins of the entire world. He did this so everyone who believes can live with him in his heavenly kingdom one day. We all need to take the trash out of ourselves by casting it on Christ. What About Jesus?
