![]() Fyrdman Location: Middlesbrough UK Posts: 4,174 | A Victory for Mingers Everywhere Menzies "Ming" Campbell has won the leadership contest for the Liberal Democrats http://politics.guardian.co.uk/libde...721875,00.html This is good news. I know Hughes is a massively likeable guy having heard him speak in Paris four years ago, but he is entirely unelectable. Huhne is too recent an addition to the Commons to be leader. Campbell has experience, can actually defend rather than dodge his views, is rather wise compared to the other two major party leaders, and he's an Olympian, what more could you ask for? (more hair, maybe) Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery. Winston Churchill |

![]() Hot Lava Posts: 1,184 | Sir Menzies said: "Our task now is this: to build a strong, effective powerful Liberal Democrat party, with the objective of ensuring a greener, fairer, decentralised and democratic Britain, a Britain at peace with itself at home and admired abroad." Fighting talk from someone whom appears rare, an honest politician :) |
