And you can cite quips, and soudbytes all you want to try to make a case "sound" valid. It still won't work.

Let's see the facts, some proof, some links, some followable logic?

I thought this was about debate, not making a point built on soundbytes and beating it like a dead horse until people walked out pissed or accepted what you have to say to make you stop typing?

Let's debate?

The U.S. Army in an unusual move petitioned the court to testify as a "friend of the court" on behalf of keeping Affirmative Action stating that without it the U.S. Army would be much weaker as a result of racial discrimination and segregation than it is today.
The Army ain't society, thank God. It's a hierarchical machine reliant on absolute order and deference to commanders outranking you. Society isn't - again, thank God.

And what's good for the Army isn't necessarily good for society. That's why we don't have an association of college deans testifying as amicus curiae to praise the blow to racial discrimination affirmative action has bestowed upon college campuses.

In fact, gee, you'd think they would have beat the Army to it, being that they have more than enough intellectual muscle to bring the briefs...

I beg to differ that the army is not a reflection of society and human nature at large.
