Well, at least they're sticking with their lie about what the rate of inflation is. You and I know that inflation has been running between 5 and 10% per year for the past several years. Our income aren't even keeping up with the admitted <2%, but the government is sticking with that number for themselves.

Like this is anything new? Every year congress votes on how big of a pay raise they get which is usually well above 10% and then they spend months debating a 3.4% or a 4.3% pay raise for the military. The last raise the military got over that average was back around 1982 and congress got an even bigger one then just like the always give themselves, regardless of who is in the majority and who the president is at the time. Same stuff happened under Carter and Clinton. The sitting president doesn't make the policy of pay raises. At least the increase is smaller now.

Did Cheney's Haliburton money run thin?

The problem is, that people have no balls to step in here, and demand NO RAISES, by petitioning the system.

Most people sit and bitch and complain about taxes, how bad the system works, and volley shots about how bad everything is, yet they just keep on doing their daily things, and don't speak out or make their voices heard, LET ALONE take actions like this.

I have already mailed my reps about it, and I am pissed! War is a great reason to take my rights, and infringe on everything sacred, and extort more money and cut more programs, but now they want a RAISE?!?!?

This is the definition of stupidity on the part of the American people, if they don't speak out loud, and uniformly against it.
